Great wine and food. I was incredible happy that hey had some gluten free options during the February wine and chocolate event. Staff were very pleasant and the building was beautiful. Loved it.
This winery offered free samples, a delishous lunch with choc. fountain, & friendly service. The food, esp. seafood bisque soup was great! We will definitely be back.
During a visit to Erie Wine Country, we stopped here for lunch. My husband had the quiche and I had the seafood bisque. They were both delicious. We each had a glass of dry white wine and we enjoyed them very much.
We really enjoyed our visit to Presque Isle! We started our visit with a Friday night tasting in their charming tasting room. We were served by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic member of their staff. We were so impressed by their Marquette we bought a bottle to take back to our cabin to enjoy while watching the sunset. They also have a nice café. There isn't much seating, but we were told that we could call ahead and get some food to go. They have a lovely area beside a creek with some waterfalls that would make a lovely picnic area. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back the next day to buy three more bottles. It was our favorite winery of the weekend!
Was very nice and friendly. Enjoy eating and wine. Tasting was nice also. It was a nice winery to stop at, so glad we did. Food was good also. This will definitely a place I will stop at again.
I own a commercial winery in NH and have been ordering supplies from PI wine for several years. Doug and team are an encyclopedia on wine making, and are very willing to share their information and make good suggestions on equipment, yeast suggestion, you name it.I would not hesitate to drink their wines or listen to their suggestions on food pairings.Someday I'll get a chance to visit!HeidiOwner/winemaker Newfound Lake Vineyards
out of the wineries we went to this was our favorite, very nice place and the girls that assisted us were so nice and friendly. we had so much fun and the wine is great ( i loved the blue berry wine)
We spent a day touring about 8 wineries in the general area and this one was really a nice one. The lady who was pouring the samples was at the top of her game as she accommodated 8-10 people and knew her wines well. There is a room to the side where you can enjoy a simple lunch if you'd like. We bought a few bottles, went on our way and about four hours later stopped by on our way back to our campground to pick up some information to share. The same excellent wine pourer was still at it, with another 8-10 people around her tasting area. Highly recommend stopping by, felt upscale.
We went here right at noon on a Thursday when they opened. It is warm and welcoming inside. They have a small tasting area that could accompany about 8-10 people. There is a dining room with wine related gifts you are able to purchase. We sampled many wines. You get 6 samples for $1. They were very tasty. We bought a couple of bottles and decided to stay for lunch. They had a couple soups to choose from. We tried both and they were excellent. The lobster bisque was our favorite. We also enjoyed the grape pizza they have to offer. I highly suggest this place. I'll be back!
A friendly person gave us samples and helped us choose our wine. We bought three bottles and received an additional one free. They also have a small cafe and gift. They have cheese plates, sandwiches and soups.
The ice wine at Presque Isle is one of the best I have ever had. The ladies there were wonderful and gave good advice on what wine I needed for the event I have planned. I will certainly go back and not just for the ice wine.
The waterfalls and the meandering stream set the stage for a wonderful visit. The store sells wine and beer making supplies.
This was our first stop on our winery tour of Northeast, Pa. Loved the place. Bought 2 bottles of wine. Prices were reasonable.
We regret that our “Dinner Under the Stars” did not meet the standards our customers have come to expect from us. This event was hosted by us and executed by a third party caterer who has performed well for us in the past. This time, that was obviously not the case. They had inadequate, poorly trained staff to work the event, and the lack of training and professionalism showed. We would also agree the presentation of an entrée in foil was inappropriate. While we take full responsibility for all of our events, we only have limited control over those we entrust to care for our guests. This caterer let us down and we have not contracted with them since. To be fair, we note the caterer suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized shortly after the event and his condition may have contributed to his very subpar performance that evening. The owner of Presque Isle Wine Cellars was pouring tasting samples of our wines in addition to the glasses paired with the meal. That generosity was apparently thought to be part of the dinner wine service, and we apologize for the misunderstanding. It is always our goal to provide an outstanding experience for our guests at a fair price. We are embarrassed that we failed our guests with this event. We sincerely apologize and pledge to use the lessons from the evening’s mistakes to improve our future events.
This is the home of the man who started the wine industry in the Erie/ North East area. Without him and his wonderful wines no one would know where North East, Pa was. Doug Moorhead is a gentleman and his wines speak volumes about his love and knowledge of the product. Just stop...taste...and fall in love with some wonderful spirits ! I don't recall if their were any fee's for tasting as this has now become more common.
