Hi, I have visited Southampton Spa on December 25th, 2014. The place was busy, but everyone there seemed to have a good time and fun. And so did I.Facility itself had several hot sauna rooms - one they call Russian Bania, one Turkish Bath, sauna and a steam room. They also have a swimming pool, several hot spas and a cold plunge pool. People seemed to like the hottest Russian Bania more then other rooms. I was alternating staying in the hot rooms and resting for several hours. Afterwards I had a one hour massage and was able to fully relax. I think that the duration of my overall stay was about 5 hrs. Next day I felt unusually relaxed and energiezed. The place was clean and every room seemed to function as Intended. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend this facility to others
My husband & I went there to try something New & Different. We were there right @ 11:00 when they opened. A man was there & greeted us. He asked for 70.00 to use the facility for both of us. I gave it to him eagerly waiting to see the facility. To my Dissapoinment the Steam Room was Broken. That's mainly why I wanted to go. He showed me Saunas, the COLD Pool & 2 Jaccuzzis. I was dissapointed about the steam room but figured I'd give it a chance. The place was Big, Very Bright & the towels had some yellow stains on them. I still tried the sauna & Jaccuzzi & realized we weren't going to Relax. Within less than 30 minutes I let the gentleman know that it's not what we expected & told him we are leaving. He immediately replied I can't give you your money back now. I offered it to you when you saw the steam room was broken. He said I will give you $10.00 back now or come when steam is fixed & I will give you free access. I took the 20.00 (2) of us back & left immediately. When you go to a Spa I guess you expect soft lighting, soft music, maybe candles & Everything in working order. Unfortunately they made $50.00 on us & knew we weren't happy with our Experience. I'm in Business and know that the Customer is Always Right!! We will Not go back.... Not even for free
Once you've donned a robe and taken a chair by the whirlpools or the cold swimming pool you'd think you were in Moscow or Istanbul. The sauna, extremely hot steam room, freezing water tank to dip in and eucalyptus twigs to hit yourself with make for a genuine Russian/Turkish bath experience. You may bring in your own food and refreshments and there are several televisions around the main pool room to view making this a great way to relax. The many Russian speaking guests in attendance just add to the old world atmosphere. A restaurant with juice bar and massages are on the premises.
