This is my kind of town when you have a park named after you!!! It was in September of 1964 when I came to Alpena as a serviceman in the Air Force! Here was this nice bathing park right offthe main route of US 23 on the shores of Lake Huron at Thunder Bay almost in the middle of down town. It is a quiet place to visit and when the bay water is warm there is alot of action withfamily picnic's and young adult's having fun! Alpena is a fun town and alot to see and enjoy!!
