Stopped in after hearing that they make a pop called Shipwreck Soda here. No high fructose corn syrup. Tried Raspberry, Cream soda and Root beer. Cream soda is outstanding. Raspberry is tasty too. Was not fond of Root beer. Not enough root taste. They also make orange and grape and sugar free. Bought a variety 12 pack to go. Will need to go back and try some wines and explore a little more.
Stoney acres Winery was off the beaten path but worth it! Very nice inside wines, wine making, brewing materials too, chocolate truffles, homemade baggettes, and novelties. They'll let you try anything all comp with cheese and bread for your pallet. We even met the owner on our way out. A must stop on the Sunrise Side Wine Trail
Our bus tour group of nearly 50 folks enjoyed our wine tasting, caramel corn demonstration and shopping so much! The folks made us feel right at home and the wine is great too! Personally I loved the Blackberry! We will be back next year for some more fun!
FREE wine tasting . . . .with crackers & cheese!! any or all of their wines, made on site! Hospitality PLUS! FANTASTIC Chocolates - some even included in the free tasting. Great wine, and LOVE LOVE the frozen concoctions! Everyone was buying SOMETHING - wine, chocolates, popcorn, pop made on site, and more! Special "Lighthouse" bottles, too.
a wonderful experience for the wine lover! not only are all the wine tastings complimentary, the wines were delicious!! These ladies really enjoy what they do. They even had tastings and soda available for the non-drinking.b.cavanaugh
This is a really cute place. They did a nice job setting up a winery in the Alpena area, and they have a nice selection of tasty wines. I grew up here, and I'm impressed that they actually have wines that are nice for everyday drinking.I love travelling to different places in Canada and the U.S. for my wine collection, and this is worthy of checking out for a nice table wine for dinner, especially if you live in the area.
Finally someone looked around & said "Hey, we can grow grapes & more over here on the Sunrise Side! We can make wines!" And they did. Not just Grape wines, but lots of other great surprises. & the Truffles... oooohhhhh Baaaadddd. I got plumper just thinking about them. It's a neat little place that is growing every year! They also sell wine making equipment, & keep adding eye candy both inside & outside. They are Off US 23 & if you have a GPS it's easy peasy. If you don't just ask the natives, they'll get you there in NO time! Silver City white is also delicious.
