Gina and Tim make this tour so much fun! They are incredibly accommodating, engaging, and you learn a lot about the sport in the time you spend with them. We were fortunate enough to call at just the right moment, and snagged a last minute reservation for four, on Valentine's Day. Which as it turns out, was one of the coldest days of the year! We arrived around 10am and spent some time warming up, signing waivers, and learning a bit about what we could expect. Then we were outside with cookies, cocoa, and a bonfire! Meanwhile, Gina, Tim and their team set up our sled. Shemhadar is one of two dog sledding providers in Michigan, with sleds that allow you to drive, with the security of an experienced guide helping you brake, telling you when to lean, etc. We went one at a time, about 10-15 min pp, for a two hour total experience.When we went, it was about $60pp for the 10-15 minute ride. This might sound expensive, but not when you consider how much work goes into this seasonal activity, all year long. Well worth the price for a once in a limetime experience. Thank you Gina and Tim!
