Great course well worth the green fee. May still be a deal in 2015 where if you play three times, the fourth is free, although you have to pay for the cart. Nice clubhouse. Challenging holes but a good score is possible. Worth the trip just to play #'s 16, 17 and 18. #16 is a par three with a substantial elevation drop. Water in front and behind green. If the tee says 160 yards, it plays 160 with allowances for wind. #17 is a dogleg right with a large pond on right side. No need to get too close to the water as the green is reachable from any average drive. Don't be short on your approach shot as it plays a little longer than indicated on the GPS. #18 requires accuracy as there is a slope to the right and a main road to the left. Narrow fairway. Green can be reached in two after an average drive but there is a pond in front and to the right. The second shot plays longer than it looks or reads on the GPS. Long isn't too bad but the green is very fast as it slopes down to the pond. Par is very possible but so is a double bogey. Good condition and good rates. A must play. HINT! Attend the golf show in Novi Michigan in February or March (check the internet for date) and purchase the Michigan Golf Book. Very, very reasonable and contains multiple, useful discounts.

Great golf course, especially the last 3 holes. I usually don't do well on the 16th, but I make up for it on the 17th and 18th.

We don't even know where to start with Greystone! We cannot thank Maggie and her staff enough for everything they did to make our Wedding perfect. From the moment we met with Maggie we knew this was the venue for us:) From start to finish we could not be more pleased! We had 220 people last weekend. Our guests keep telling us that they have never been to such a beautiful Wedding. We selected the Premiere Wedding Package (Filet and chicken plated) I have to admit that my new husband and I are always worried when we go to a Wedding that they will not give you enough food. Not the case here !!!! Sooo much food...... We had the ultimate bar with our package and the late night pizza. The staff was so helpful throughout the night. We seen one server getting drinks for my grandpa at his table all night, just so he didn't have to get up. So sweet! We are so happy that we picked Greystone. We would recommend anybody looking for a beautiful Ceremony and Reception space to go see Maggie and the staff:) Jennifer and Derrek April 5th, 2014

Me and my husband were so excited to get married here. Maggie was very helpful prior to the wedding, however once the wedding started so many things went wrong! Dinner was served over an hour late ! There was no reason for this as everything else ran smooth. Also the lady running my wedding was very rude to my bridal party and acted like she was overwhelmed from the beginning. We had a very large bridal party of 20 and nobody drink before the wedding so nobody was out of control. They also only had 2 people there to serve my wedding and we had 265 guests!!! 1 bartender and 1 lady that just kinda walked around and was there to see that things went smooth. They absolutely did not! 1 bartender for 265 guests it's crazy! And the bartender got overwhelmed and told the lady she couldn't handle it as was over heard by several of my guests and they stopped serving my entire wedding at 1040 and my wedding ended at 12! I was furious and asked the lady why they cut my entire wedding off and she said the young bartender is overwhelmed and feels like people r drinking to much! It's a wedding! Not 1 of my guests was wasted and I had shuttles bringing all guests to the hotel whenever they choose to leave. There was absolutely no reason for this to have happened. I have video of my entire wedding and by no means was it a drunk feat they were just understaffed! They took away 2.5 hours of the most important day of my life 1 hr by making dinner late, there was so much awkward silence as the guest seen her keep coming up to me to apologize and tell me it will be coming soon, and 1.5 hrs of my wedding being cut off for no reason other then them being short staffed and feeling the stress of it. Every guest at my wedding commented on how unorganized the staff and venue at grey stone was. It was my wedding so I made the most of it but I very very highly recommend to go somewhere else as they couldn't have cared less about how special this day is.

Greystone is by far one of the most beautiful and well maintained golf courses in the southeast Michigan area.....I would go as far as to brag one of the nicest in Michigan! The course is extremely well marked and maintained. Very well groomed sand traps. Four sets of tees with nice elevation changes. Has a very 'up north' feel to it without the high prices. They offer some nice values and discounts on golf websites - so keep your eye open for them. Very professional pro shop staff that welcomes you to the first tee and when you end on #18 make sure you visit the "Top of the Hill Grill" for some well prepared specials prepared by a top notch executive chef and staff. The service in the restaurant/bar is very friendly and efficient. I have also attended weddings at Greystone and they are amazing. From the gorgeous ceremony site overlooking Lake Greystone to wonderful cuisine and a million dollar view overlooking the #18 fairway from the windows and outdoor patio. Totally recommend this place.

First of all, we only shot a round of golf there and did not use the banquet center or any dining facilities....they did have a damn good hot dog and an okay kielbasa though :-DThis golf course course is absolutely beautiful, and when the course conditions are good, it's hard to beat this place! We had a foursome take advantage of the $35 GroupGolfer deal for Greystone (regularly $65) which came with a small bucket at the range. It rained pretty hard the day before, so I don't think the groundskeeping crew was able to get out there - fairways and roughs were a little longer than they usually are there - but I've played here before and with good weather comes excellent course conditions here! There is some elevation changes, rolling fairways, with plenty of traps and water hazards. The greens were in immacculate shape - putted very fast (which I like) with no discolorations, burn spots, or excessive ball marks.Even if you are having a terrible round - the "Best Finish in Michigan" on holes 16, 17, and 18 around a quarry will help you forget all the snowmen you marked down on your card so far :-P The par 3 16th, shooting to an island-type green, is one of the best views you'll see from the Metro Detroit area and only gets better on #17 and #18. If you stop inside at the turn for a drink or bite to eat, you'll be able to get a good view of what's to come on #18 from the restaurant balcony! This is definitely a challenging course, one of the toughest ones we play around this area, but absolutely makes up for any frustration with excellent scenary and well-kept grounds!

Good food and service in a nice setting. Staff is always helpful. Nice place to have an event for business or organizations.

I played Greystone yesterday for the first time as part of a 36 Hole-2 Course outing. Greystone was our first track of the day, and I was absolutely blown away by the overall conditions of the course. I have played many of the top courses in Michigan (Including Arcadia Bluffs, Tullymore, and Forest Dunes), and I cannot ever remember putting better greens anywhere. They rolled absolutely true and there was hardly a ball mark to be found....flawless! The fairways were lush and everything was finely manicured. They claim to have the "The Best Finish in Michigan Golf", and 16, 17, & 18 were certainly challenging holes. This is definitely a beautiful course with many high-end features, and I can't wait to come back and play it again. It's a little bit off the beaten track, but well worth the effort to get there. HIGHLY REMOMMENDED!!

Out in the country and well keep. Played here a few times and always in good shape. Signature hole always good for drowning your balls which prompts me to bug my cart partner for more balls...

.....or most unfair depending how you are playing. Enjoyed the layout with I believe five sets of tees. Pretty straight forward design leading up to 16-17-18, holes played around and old gravel pit.
