the creature conservancy

This is a great place, with peacocks, owls, squirrels, goats, black swans, and many other animals on display. I believe the staff gives talks/demos at schools. Best of all are their parties and summer programs. Basically, they have wonderful programs for kids of most ages from kindergarten through 11th grade, including summer camps and 'zookeeper for a day' programs. My daughter went to several camps and did their special programs and loved it all. If you're just driving by, I believe you can just stop by for a 'look-see' of what is in their cages and environs. It's a lot of fun.

I went to the creature conservancy on two separate occasions, both times was with a group of friends from school, and both times were amazing. The first time we did an animal interaction, where an expert who worked there showed us five different animals they had and taught us about them and we were even allowed to pet them. The second time we went was for a volunteer event. We helped them clean up their barn in the back where a lot of their animals live and afterwards we got a behind-the-scenes tour full of information as well as some one-on-one time with their two kangaroos and wallaby. It was amazing! Definitely recommend for all ages as price really isn't too bad!
