marlon perkins statue

On a weekend trip to Carthage, we stopped by the park to look at an old fountain. Then we noticed a statue of a person kneeling. Marlin is right there in the park with binoculars in hand. The statue is actually larger than life size. It is out among the trees in the grass.

Carthage MO has a giant statue of Marlon Perkins set in a really beautiful park in town. This is really worth visiting. No Jim Fowler yet, but you can pretend you're Jim and find a lion to wrestle while Marlon is watching intently and describing your plight to the viewers.
