Fantastic funeral museum is FREE! Jesse James' Corpse' basket from 1882 and various caskets used through the ages are there. Interesting newspapers articles and photos of earlier times makes you appreciate how we embalm bodies today. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. After you visit the Jesse James' house go to the funeral museum.

You can see the basket they carried Jesse James's body in to the undertaker, which was a predecessor of this firm. Many old coffins, cooling boards (!), photos, newspapers, and other memorabilia of the city's most notorious outlaw are housed here.Please note: this collection is housed in a working funeral parlor. Please be respectful of the grieving families in the building.
