harlow's casino

The casino is in a nice setting but like most Mississippi casinos they seem tight. Many of the employees here are not that customer orientated but the ones that are make up for it. I'd say 70 percent of them are not. They have an ample amount of slots but like I say they seem tight.

Harlow was once a nice casino that my friends and I would travel from Arkansas to get away. However, it appears that after management changes, it is, in my opinion, the worst casino I've ever visited. Employees walk around with false smiles, greeting you a million times a night, but as soon as you lose all your money in their "NO HITTING, NO GOING TO THE BONUS MACHINES", security is ready to ask customers to get up if you'll not playing. At this I'm about ready to walk out the door, never to return. HAVE THEY NOT HEARD OF OAKLAWN! And it's in ARKANSAStime. FUTHER, in the SandBar sandwich shop, customers are now required to pay an extra $.50 in order to get your food to go. WHAT KIND OF BULL IS THAT? The last time I ate at the buffet, I was food poisoned. Was sick for almost a week. Entries are always the same. The management of this casino really reminds me of a poem by the Late Maya Angelou, "THEY WEAR THE MASKS"!There has been two bright sides of my experiences at Harlow Casino. 1. The Valet personnel seems genuine in their efforts to serve you. 2. A VIP host assisted me with a problem I had with my card and she was noticeably professional and show true concern for my dilemma. I think her first name was Porche like the car.At any rate, I will NOT spend my time, gas, and energy driving two hours to Mississippi to be treated like somebody 's sept-child. If I wanted to lose EVERYTIME I CAME TO MISSISSIPPI, I COULD JUST MAIL MY MONEY OVER AND SAVE THAT GAS!

We stopped to eat at Harlow's buffet on the way through town. There were three of us on a Sunday night, and the total was over $50. Luckily they asked if either of us was over 50, and we got the senior discount; this took 50% off of the entire check (it's a Sunday night promotion)!The food in general was a bit better than a typical buffet, but the deserts were a bit worse. I would have been disappointed at full price, but I was satisfied at the discounted price.One other point of note: the bathrooms were dirtier than I expected. I know the casino is busy, but they seem to keep them clean in Tunica, Biloxi, and Vegas...

This casino is good but nothing special. You can find all of the basic casino games such as slots, craps, roulette, poker, and blackjack. They occasionally feature entertainment such as live musicians.

Nice little casino near the Arkansas border. I was in town for a wedding and visited this and another casino. This casino is by far better than the Trop, which is in the downtown area. It's worth the drive to Harlow's if you are staying in Greenville.

If you enjoy people who look like they have just stepped out of the movie "Deliverence" & terribly over-priced, crowded, sub-standard buffet that you have to actually wait to get into, then this is for you. (Most clientel were using comp coupons after losing their shirts at the tables). Intelligent locals NEVER frequent this place for ANY reason! This casino also caters to the cash-strapped locals who are spending their meager social security. The rooms are lovely, once you get into one from the cigarette smelly halls. The concert auditorium was flooded & now they use an area with "folding, hard chairs"! The restaurant was also flooded & they use an area that can't possibly accomodate the flow of "suckers" who go there!

the newest and great casino, good staff nice to have a drink they are not like the other casino in town where it is hard to get a drink the only thing that bad about this casino is it far away from town like going to another state........
