Christmas in the park is beautiful and should not be missed. The lights are awsome and the best part is it's all free. It has been a family tradition for years.

Hubbard Park in Meriden, Ct. is a beautiful large park. Something for everyone. Watch the ducks and feed the geese. Just sit and watch the fountain. Take the children to the playground. See a show at the band shelter. Just sit relax, have a picnic. Take a hike up to the castle. In Winter you can drive through to see the thousands of holiday lights. All this is FREE.

By far the best display of lights in Connecticut. We went to two other displays and they were not as spectacular as this one! The best part about the Hubbard Park display is that you can stop and take pictures. Also since its free of charge you can go through as many times as you would like.

The nicest park in Meriden. It is a good place to take children. They can feed the ducks and play on the playground. Traveling up to Castle Craig is a good trip. From there, you can see the surrounding areas. There is plenty of space for a picnic, too. When the pond freezes, there is ice skating. During the Christmas season, the light decorations are beautiful.

The Christmas lights are a must see. How fortunate the founder of the park (Walter Hubbard) left a trust fund for the Park also. This allows visitors to experience free Christmas displays, thousands of daffodils in April, and well-maintained hiking trails. One of the best city parks in the State of Connecticut.

A great place to take the family. Nice playground for the kids. Great place to hike or drive up top for the view. The daffodils in the spring are gorgeous. There is a fishinge derby and a daffodil festival too. During the Christmas holiday season the lights are so much fun to see. You can drive thru or walk around.

Hubbard park is filled with hiking trails. You can also drive the road to get to Castle Craig and a beautiful view or surrounding towns. On a clear day you can see to New Haven. In the spring there are thousands of daffodils and a festival with lots to do. On Thanksgiving the park has lighted figures of animals and snowflakes etc. Its a lovely display that surrounds the lake and band shell areas. After dark the drive through the park is grand. We walk on the road to the castle often. Its lovely winding from the lower park around the reservoir.

We go to Hubburd Park when ever we want to enjoy a quiet peaceful day. You can stroll around the waters edge- feed the ducks and swans if you like. Set a blanket down under a tree and read a book and enjoy the view of pretty trees and flowers that are around you. Spring has the daffodil festival where the park is full of daffodils covering the whole park. A sight to see! And during the Christmas season it is decorated with a light show to behold! You can drive through ( or walk around) and enjoy the spectacular light show!! We sit and chit chat while the kids play in the park with there bicycles then open our picnic baskets and enjoy our packed lunches. And also feed the ducks and birds around it is so refreshing of a day Check it out if your in the area

A jewel of a park. This park offers swimming, fishing, hiking. a great play scape for the kids and many festivals. National night out, The Puerto Rican festival and in April the Daffodil Festival! 600,000+ daffodils blooming for this event! Best time to visit.

We have seen this castle tower from rt 691 for years. Today we finally got off the highway and drove to the top. 10/31 is the last day the road is open to drive to the top; after today you have to hike up until the spring. Its about 60 stairs to the top of the tower and the view is awesome . Plenty of fall foliage still visible . It was an overcast day and the views were still fantastic.( the park is called Hubbard park and the castle at the top is castle Craig built in 1900)
