Enjoyable trip if not raining. Unfortunately the 11 th November that we were booked onto the trip it rained heavily most of the day. As you can imagine a half hour trip in a speed boat with rain pouring is not much fun. Vallerta adventures did supply rain jackets, but unfortunately on arriving at the island to get on the unimog, we were asked to remove the coats as they belonged to the boat we had got off. We were then taken to the Botanical gardens which again would have been lovely if it had been a dry day. We visited a rosewood factory where you could buy foods made of rosewood. The salad bowls were beautiful, but too heavy to fly home. The bakery we visited, made delicious bread, and as we were soaked through myself and my husband asked if we could have hot bread. It was delicious cream cheese filled and we also had fruit bread too only 5 pesos each. The cheese factory not much to see as small businesses but who cares the cheese was delicious. I did not see the art gallery or the county buildings as I was too wet and cold to go back out in the rain. The art gallery owner came out with some coffee flavoured with chocolate tequila, it was lovely and she gave me a scarf to keep me warm. Last but not least was the tequila tasting. 6 Shotts to taste. One of the owners showed us the right way to drink tequila. Take a deep breath exhale and then slug the tequila oh it was so smooth. We chose to buy the chocolate tequila but the almond and orange flavoured was relish too. Our guide was called Sasha, a lovely young Canadian who had lived in Mexico since he was about 11. He was really good. Only downfall of the trip was being wet all day. Vallerta adventures you should make sure all your clients keep their raincoats. I made it clear I was not happy as there were other tours with the same company had been allowed to keep their raincoats all day ? VIP treatment that we didn't get.really suggest if you are going on this trip and it's raining take a poncho.
