Even with all the craft beer locations springing up around every corner, the Lickinghole Creek beer stands out in my mind for its quality and the casual outdoor experience is unique. The regular events are great, but I especially enjoy a quiet afternoon when just a few folks are enjoying a beer on the patio. If you love good beer, it is certainly worth the drive from Richmond on a pretty day. It should be noted that there is little in the way of an indoor sitting area.

Come enjoy over 200 acres of beautiful farm land while driving one of the craft beers made right here on the farm. Friendly staff and the brewery is open 'til sunset! Every Friday Saturday and Sunday enjoy live music and gourmet food trucks!

Read about this brewery and just had to find it. Almost in the middle of nowhere, a big barn at the top of the road. Beautiful building and surrounding farmland. All outdoor seating with some tables with umbrellas. Flights and tasting available and some merchandise. Customers brought their dogs and it was a real pleasant and relaxing time. And the beer was good too...

The simplicity of LCCB is what make it so great. It's a farm brewery in the middle of nowhere. They brew great beer and that's it. No need for the big production. Their brewer, along with their beers, made this trip worth it. He told great stories behind their beers and gave great insight of others in the area, The only downside is the price of their tasting. $9 for a flight of 4-5 beers. That's $3-$4 higher than most places.Simply outstanding.
