wildwood park

I commend the city's parks & rec department as they have done a very good job with Wildwood and Bissett parks. The mountain trails are well laid out and maintained, the paved path along the creek is in great condition. Enter the connecting tunnel and add Bisset park into your hike or bike ride and it gets very pleasurable. I start at the lower lot, cross the bridge and take the strenuous trail to the right first, come down to the upper parking lot, walk down to the paved path, cross the wood bridge back at the lower end and follow that trail up the hill to the tunnel and back down to the paved path, returning to the lower parking lot. The restroom facility is well as can be expected in an area like this, clean, functional. Try it for a brisk walk or mountain trail single track run.

Plenty of trails, nice view of the New River, if you like to hike this is for you, there appear to be many challenging trails that are less traveled, picnic areas and parking is good, I would recommend it for all ages

This park is a wonderful place for a nice walk. There is a big hill, but if you come in from Second St instead of the Library, you can skip that part. There are some nice off the pavement trails for the adventurious souls.

We enjoy walking in Wildwood Park and love to take our grandchildren to catch crawdads in the creek, Conley's Run. It's an especially good place in the summer because there is so much shade.

I love Wildwood Park. Every time I'm in Radford I go there. I have taught wildflower identification and tree identification in Wildwood for years at SUUSI. It's a superb place for this.Ernest Wilson, Richmond, VA

Nice park to take your smaller kids to play. They really enjoyed the playgrounds and swings. There's a nice walkway/trail around the park that many run or walk on. There's a tennis court with at least 3 courts. There is also a sandy area with a net for volleyball. They have annual events/festivals in the park open to the public. Very nice park. LOVE the view of the river and the bridge.

This is an amazing place to walk and bike...several different trails and they all lead to an underground tunnel to Bisset Park. Lots of birds and flowers in Spring/Summer and great wildlife programs.

Quiet and peaceful by the river. Enjoyed sitting by river and enjoying time there. Good place to hang out and relax and watch the world go by! Well maintained and clean!

Great place to go if you are a runner like me. They have awesome trails & plenty of places to swim! Absolutely beautiful through there. I recommend going fishing, running, or swimming!

The park goes along the river for about 2 1/2 miles. Paved path the entire way.

This park is excellent for getting your exercise or having a picnic lunch. The facility is well maintained and patrolled regularly by the police.

We stopped in Radford on a road trip and needed to take our dog for a walk. This lovely little park was perfect. Some hills if you wanted but also a nice paved path. They also have some historical markers to give you an idea of the part it played in Radford.

I went on a birdwalk one Saturday morning with a knowledgable group of birders ( I did not know as much as they did). I learned a little about birds I was unfamiliar with, but more than that I enjoyed the park immensely. It is quiet, has a beautiful little stream running through it, has paths for bikers and hikers, and occasionally features nature programs. It's a great place to unwind and relax.
