AT Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park, the Byrd Visitor Center has an exhibit in which the history of the park comes alive. Artifacts of the development of the land and construction of the structures are on exhibit. Movie footage of the people involved are shown. It gives you a deep appreciation for the post-depression era life in America.
