I've had the pleasure to spend almost 6 month at Hermitage Hill while I was on an extended business trip. Let me just say that I would pick this place for my wedding if it was easier to ship everyone overseas. Gorgeous scenery, perfectly maintained facility of a working horse farm with a special touch, lovely horses and the experience of the owners are what makes Hermitage Hill so special. I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a professional and experienced, yet very personal and unique handling of their wedding

I have had the privilege of attending a couple of events at Hermitage Hill Farm and Stables since it opened. Each and every time the ownership and staff have been remarkable. They clearly know what they are doing and only provide the very best all around. If you want to really wow someone with an event this facility is incredible. These guys are awesome!

I searched for a wedding venue for months and couldn't find just what I was looking for until I stumbled across Hermitage Hill Farm while searching around on the internet. We went for a tour and the minute I saw the venue, I knew we'd found our place! I can't thank Craig enough for working with us to make sure our day was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how gorgeous the venue was and how much they enjoyed feeding and interacting with the beautiful horses during cocktail hour. This is such a unique, rustic, romantic venue with amazing views of the mountains. I'd highly recommend Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables to any couple!

Wedding venues are interesting but this one is at a horse farm that is set up for beautiful weddings. Most people would not think of having their reception in a barn filled with horse but oh what fun! Feed them carrots while you are enjoying the delicious food and beverages. Might be catered but it was good! Outside in the beautiful Virginia countryside you can say your vows with the Blue Ridge mountains in the distance. Did I say that the bride can arrive by the most wonderful carriage with horses? The meal after the vows is held in the barn area which is quite modern. No need to worry after "horse-aftermatter." My guess is that it can comfortably hold 200 people, perhaps more. Nice dance floor. Food was first-rate while being a bit "cowboy" oriented. Wedding party like the "boots" effect. Meander to the outside patio which overlooks the green pastures of adjacent farms. Gorgeous sunset are free.

As a recent bride, I wanted to relay what a wonderful experience we had at Hermitage Hill Farm.I spent many weekends visiting a large number of venues in Virginia and fell in love with everything Hermitage Hill had to offer. It was just beautiful. The landscaped grounds, the horses and the sunset. Their reception room is air-conditioned and seats 200 comfortably. I mention air-conditioning because a lot of venues we visited didn’t have air-conditioning, so be sure to ask. They also have chiavari chairs for the reception room and white ceremony chairs – that was a huge plus for us and cut down on the cost of our rentals.The farm is very classy without being stuffy. They did a carrot cocktail hour which was a huge hit with our guests as they got to feed the stable’s horses. We were able to work with our photographer during the cocktail hour to get some wonderful shots. So it was a win-win situation. The owner, Craig, is very knowledgeable and has been in the hospitality industry for many years, so we felt very comfortable asking questions and learned a lot before choosing the other wedding vendors which made planning so much easier. I would highly recommend Hermitage Hill to any bride out there.

Unique reception area, right in the barn with the horses! Fun! Food service was good, reception area was large & OK, opening up to beautiful vistas on the back deck. All in farm / horse country.
