Tour guide was fun and informative! Grounds were beautiful and restoration well done! Exhibit in visitor center very informative and signage was well done! Don't miss it!

The tour guides really know their stuff. I learned so much about Sam Rayburn and his family. They have preserved many artifacts and the house is amazing. I would recommend going to the library and museum too.

This is a wonderful place to visit and it had a great person telling us all about it. This is a great place for people that know nothing much about Sam Rayburn.

Docents were very helpful and knowledgeable. Look carefully as you drive out to it. We almost missed it. This shows that our Statesmen of old did not feel a need to live a flamboyant lifestyle.

It was just neat to walk through the house and know our Sam Rayburn lived there. there is much history within this home.

I visited the Sam Rayburn house 2 yrs ago when it was specially decorated for Christmas, and on Dec 7, the house had actual radio broadcasts playing in the house from Pearl Harbor day. It was very cool! The home has so many beautiful details in its furnishings, and the guide explained their history, as many of them were gifts to Mr. Sam during his long political history. I especially enjoyed the explanation of the large picture frame which displayed copies of many, many checks, made out for 25$ each; which was the way that Mr. Sam's political friends and acquaintances were able to provide him with the gift of an automobile. (He had a personal rule that he would not accept a gift with a value of greater than $25). Some of the checks were signed by people whose names you might recognize. It's a free attraction- at least it was then-- and really worth a visit.

I enjoyed my visit to Mr. Sam’s House. A real look into the life of one of the most prolific politicians that Texas and this country have ever seen. During his 48 years in the U. S. House of Representatives and 17-years as speaker he was one of the most powerful and respected members. His home gives you a look at the life of what appears to be a very simple and shy man. The people of Bonham still speak of Mr. Sam in the present tense, and touring his home you will find yourself expecting him to walk in an greet you anytime. The Sam Rayburn home is a great place to visit for anyone who is a history buff and wants to learn more about the man the controlled Texas Style Politics.
