I really like all of the interesting food you can find in Texas. I do not like that everything is a long drive. The Alamo is a great historical site.

I'm visiting Killeen, TX for two weeks. The people I am visiting have to work part of the time I am here so I figured I would get on Trip Advisor (I'm 27 and have been using this site since around my preteen early teen years) because it never failed me or my family until the last four years. TripAdviser has accommodations and things to do that are outdated (no longer exist or the information isn't updated) or entries like this that claim to be an attraction that are really just a random all encompassed entry. Now that my rant is over. Killeen, Tx has been very kind and I am sure offers a lot of things to do. If you ever need to stop by a grocery store, I suggest skipping Wal-Mart and heading straight for H-E-B. The store is large, Clean, and everyone who works there is friendly and helpful AND THEY ARE LESS EXPENSIVE AND BETTER QUALITY THAN Wal_Mart! :) :) :)

It was wonderful to visit Texas. I had never spent any considerable amount of time there other than just passing through the airports. Definitely will take another trip there. Found so many things we wanted to do but ran out of time.

This is my review for the State of Texas. I heard it was a conservative republican state with a lot of good 'ole Southern Christian kindness and hospitality. As you drive into the State one of the first things you see is a sign that says something about how they drive friendly in Texas. Lies, all lies. Horrible terrible lies. Bottom line is, Texas has some of the most vicious and aggressive drivers I have ever seen, even in residential neighborhoods where kids are playing. Additionally, the first encounter with all that supposed good 'ole Southern Christian hospitality was on Christmas of 2013. Our road trip took a little less time than we thought and we rolled into our new hometown the day before Christmas. Instead of just sitting around our hotel on Christmas day we drove around looking at rental homes. I called one of the numbers that was on a realtor sign thinking that I would probably get a machine I could leave a message on. What I got was a live woman who made me feel like I was the devil for daring to call on Christmas day the number that she put on a sign and then posted in a public place. And here I was thinking that this Christ guy, you know the guy that Christmas is supposedly all about, preached selflessness, love, caring, understanding, and all that great stuff. Apparently those qualities were not high on this woman's list when her special day, that was clearly all about her and her family instead of about Christ, was so rudely interrupted by a family in need. Unfortunately, after being here for six months now, Texas' vicious, impatient, and angry drivers, and this woman's horrible attitude, still seems to be the perfect symbol of what Texas is really all about. Can't wait to move on from this place.

Very good visit!! Water park is definitely the best in the area... Understaffed at their restaurants!! Rooms are way overpriced!! Breakfast is very good, with lots of options, yet very pricey as well!!

Nice for camping, except there are no trees or cover in the primitive cam sites, so it was blisteringly HOT. I would wish the park at least plant trees or have a shelter over the picnic tables.

I love Texas. Big sky, friendly people, open space. My kind of place. I could easily live in Texas .
