dead man's hole

Kids like this stop. Its a cave with a steel grate over it. But you can walk on top of it. There is a little hole in the grate. Bring a flash light and you and the kids can see down into it. There used to be 2 geocatches hidden here, have to check their web site though for current info. There were some people hung here also.

Cool place, if you want to check out of beat history. I follow directions from a previous poster and found it.

Not much to see, as the cave had a steel plate over it. Very hard to find. use these directions: 1. 1/2 mile down 2147 or 2197 (I do not remember). If coming north on 281 it will be before you hit the Exon with the small resturant in it.2. You will be turning right. (street does not go left)3. CR 401 will be on the right. There was a small building there.4. After turning right go .7 miles.5. Entrence will be on left, very easy to miss as it is only a dirt road and looks like a private road. 6. Follow road back and it will open up in to a small parking area.7. Hold is straight back. will see a sign with some info on the hole.

Divers were entertaining. Make sure you jump far out enough to clear the rocks! Nice camping area and hiking.
