They had many fresh produce and pickles, preserves ,soda... and of course, peach ice cream.Nice stop when you are driving through.

We love the peach ice cream with the real peaches inside. Great treat any day.It is the end of the season now so the peaches are not at their peak, but they had very good ones, better than the other places.I love the peach cider, also. My wife loves their tomatoes.Stop in and see them.

We shopped and bought at four places this weekend around Stonewall and Fredericksburg. Burg's had the best peach ice cream and topping hands down. The fresh peaches, red globe, were also some of the best. This is our favorite place to stop for peaches every year.

Drove the 20 minutes from Fredericksburg our first day of vacation based on the add in visitor magazine. Thought it was going to be a gift shop as well as an eatery, guess I read the add wrong. Looked like a make shift store that can easily be there one day and gone the next. Had a lot of different items to choose from and sample before you make that final purchase. One item we bought that we like is the Summer Tomato Dressing. Kinda like a Russian but without the twang.

This lovely peach business undoubtedly started out years before as a small roadside stand, like so many others along US290 through that transition zone of the Hill Country, between the Balcones Escarpment and the stunted growth further parched West of Harper Valley/Junction. For years, my wife & I have motored this route (I pedaled it in 2011 in a glorious 1300mile/2100kms bicycle odyssey!) and have always stopped here for--what else--fresh peaches. On this particular occasion, I was solo motoring from AustinTX-USA, returning my borrowed Ranger truck back home to El PasoTX-USA, and a large, discounted bag of "seconds" peaches not only kept my energy levels up, but I didn't care about the blemishes. In fact, they probably improved the taste as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, Jill & Kristen were on duty, and this delightful duo answered all queries about fruit and their glowing future. If you've never had the opportunity for a sweet peach or any of the fixings that can come out of this delicious fruit, you must stop here!
