hopkins county veterans memorial

Located on the beautiful downtown square next to the beautiful court house built in 1895. It list many residents that served our great country.

This was breathtaking, humbling and beautiful. Everyone should take some time to reflect upon the many sacrifices of our brave men and women. They have done a wonderful job on this!

A very wonderful and emotional experience. My daddy's name is engraved on the wall. It was my first time seeing it. I was so proud of him for his service.

Very nice. well worth the time to visit. Such an improvement from what was there before. A valued addition to downtown.

Very pretty and meaningful tribute to the veterans of Hopkins County. It is on the beautiful downtown square at Sulphur Springs. During spring and summer months, There are various activities on the square on the weekend evenings.

If you are passing through Sulphur Springs, stop by and check out the city square with the Veterans Memorial just to the side of the restored courthouse. The memorial itself is simple in its beauty. There are also two computer screens where you can look up the names and find information and photos on each hero that is on the walls. There is a new "Eternal Flame" Sculpture. Benches around the city square commemorate all wars that Hopkins residents served. There are also several other monuments in the square. The whole downtown square reminds me of a modern day Rockwell painting.

One of the really great tribute to Veterans. Well planed in a beautiful setting. Walls of those from Hopkins County who served in all wars. A computer screen where you can look up a Veteran and see his service history and medals and placement on the wall. A truly great visit by any Vet.

This is a must see, the Memorial and park area around it is beautiful. And the city has events going on down there every weekend.
