tumlbleweed mini golf

Ok, I can honestly say I wasn't expecting this. There's an awesome little putt-putt golf course right off the highway in downtown Van Horn! When you think of small towns in West Texas you think of a lot of things (coyotes, truck stops, Mexican food), but a quality mini-golf place was not on my list.Now apparently this place is only open seasonally (it was closed during our pass-through this time around), but the fun our family had inspired me to write a review of the spot. When you pull up, you can already tell that there has been a lot of thought and effort put into the place. It stands out for just being simple and clean. In addition to the fun putt-putt they have a variety of drinks and snacks available (including a handful of coffee drinks...at very affordable prices compared to what I normally see). What I thought was especially fun for the kids (besides the obvious mini-golf) was the small playset and the eclectic variety of toys and gifts that they had (once again...they were decently priced...my personal favorite was the large all metal triceratops toy and stick horses) available.If you're looking for a break from the highway on the weekend, something fun to do with the kids, or just something a bit different to do in Van Horn (kid or adult), I can't recommend this place higher.Also, as previously mentioned by other reviews, the owners of the place are SO nice and fun to converse with.

Myself and my wife stopped by for a game of mini golf which was great but the best bit was having a lovely conversation with the owners Rodney and Judy and their friend Brandon which covered everything from George Washington's ancestral home to Northern Cyprus, Albania and Kettering. The mini golf was well maintained and a fun 18 holes but as with lots of things in life it comes down to the people

I was amazed that a golf course and coffee shop would be open in a small place on the other side of nowhere. It was clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the golf game challenging. Highly recommend it.
