Happy Independence Day Amarillo! Dallas Mayer Gallery Of Fine Art, Studio 115, next door to Amarillo Art Institute, welcomes you and your family to a great evening of entertainment. The first Friday of every month at 3701 Plains Boulevard at the Sunset Center Mall from 5-9 pm, we are open for business to show and sell our art. Come out and enjoy meeting all the artist and take home an original work of art. Panhandle Art Center is on the east end of the mall. You can pick from so many styles of art there. Amarillo Art Institute is a great art academy where i take art lessons from master artist all over the world and masters that live right here in Amarillo. Check it out! This is one of Amarillo's best of the best! Come on out and enjoy great art and a lot of it! You will be glad you did!

We frequently head out to the Art Center to see the exhibits, they just had the 911 photography exhibit which was very moving. This is a great place to take the kids to see some cultural art work.

But it is so much more than that. What could get me out late on a school night? Well, close to a school night? First Fridays at the Sunset Center. The Amarillo Art Center is but a small part of this wonderful cultural center. Artists have a studio and gallery venue which draws hundreds of visitors monthly. Whether you are up for a casual stroll or interesting in taking something home, it is always a delightful trip.
