My wife and I booked to go on a three-hour trial ride with Code of the West Equestrians.We were both a little nervous having limited riding experience but needn't have worried.The 'cowboy' in charge, Byron Light, and his two wranglers, Bobbi Redding and Aleisha Cottingham, were clearly very experienced and first class horsemen and women.They filled us with confidence and were very patient with their inexperienced guests.We were soon mounted and setting off on a ride through wonderful wilderness, passing along the edge of picturesque rivers and lakes where beaver's had built dams and elk and white tailed deer lazily watched us as we trotted by.We stopped on top of a hill with magnificent views of the Wyoming wilderness while lunch was produced out of saddle bags.And this wasn't some minuscule sandwich and piece of tired fruit but delicious freshly prepared chunky turkey or beef sandwiches on thick cut fresh rye bread - food fit for hungry cowboys.After a rest and been entertained by stories of cattle round ups, rodeos and rouge stallions we set off again to carry on what was a truly unforgettable and enjoyable experience.I cannot recommend a trail ride with Code of the West Equestrians highly enough. If your in the area and like a bit of adventure in your life do it - you really won't regret Riding with the Code!
