caddo river camping and canoe rental

Stayed at River's Edge Cabin, which is offered by Caddo River Camping & Canoe Rental. The cabin was very clean and in good condition. The decks that over look the river are huge! We stayed with another family, 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed exploring around the cabin and walking up the waterfall. We were a little nervous with the little ones because there were a lot of stairs going down to the river, but they stayed away unless we went with them. Planned on renting canoes and going down the river but temps were cool and the river was high and fast due to recent rain. I appreciated their honesty that it would not be a good idea with the kids.

Had a great time on the river my only complaint is that since the flood the river isn't as clean as it was lots of downed tree in the way you think they would clean it up more. The bathroom's are nice but they need a fan in there it gets so hot.

We had a fantastic time tubing down Caddo River. The staff was awesome! We stayed in the Bunkhouse, which was perfect to rest up in A/C and get out of the summer heat. The river and camp grounds were clean. I will say the bathhouse needs a little bit of A/C or fans. It was very hot and still inside but perfect to wash up for the night. We are already trying to plan our next trip!

We had an amazing time kayaking down the Caddo River. The staff was extremely knowledgable about the river and helping us choose the right trip based on the water levels and age of our kids (9, 11, 14). The scenery was beautiful. The river segment we kayaked for 7 miles was consistently moving, with a few rapids (challenging for beginner kayakers) depending on water levels. Everyone enjoyed the trip. Note, if you bring your camera or phone, seriously contain in waterproof bags...our kayak semi-capsized and flooded everything. While our belongings were not swept away (although the force of the water can be strong), the phone did not survive (ziploc bag failure). We will definitely be coming back again!! They also offer canoeing and tubing as well.

Caddo River Camping & Canoe Rental is a great business. They are very friendly and the kayaks we rented were very affordable. Had a good time on the river!
