We recently went to "Catch Me if You Can" at the Eagle Theatre and we were blown away. The show is very well produced and directed, the set is one of the most impressive sets I have ever laid eyes on, and the actors are nothing short of outstanding. We have been to 4 shows in the past year and each one has been better than the last. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this season's lineup. Also one additional note the riser seating is installed and it really makes every seat in the house the best seat in the house.
We paid a little extra for front row seats, and it was well worth it! Very talented actors, the set was beautiful, and the music was live (which we didn't realize until the show was over!). We greatly enjoyed it, and it was a short commute to see a Broadway-caliber show. Kudos to all!!
We saw "Into the Woods". We felt we had a front row seat at a Broadway show. The quality and professionalism was exceptional! We highly recommend this theater. If you want the quality of Broadway minus a long drive, tolls and parking fee then this theater is a must! We must give a shot out to the Fox/Prince and Little Red Riding hood! I was thoroughly entertained!
Incredibly creative artists and staff. I have seen 3 productions and they had the quality of Broadway, if not better.
This theater has always entertained us with its great performances, but the Civil War knocks it out of the park. If you've seen this play in NY and liked it, you really don't want to miss this production as it rivals, and maybe even surpasses anything else that's being done in the region's theaters this season. All I can say is that if you like live professional theater and you're tired of paying $100 per ticket, $25 parking and still having to walk 3 blocks, along with all the other hassles of getting in and out of the city, the Eagle is not to be missed.
We came to see The Civil War, since we're big fans of the show. Never been to the Eagle Theatre before, and didn't know what to expect. Well, it was exceptional. It's a small, intimate theatre. Everyone from the front office to the ushers to the performers was top-notch. The performance was exceptional. Very professional, and the singing was wonderful. It's a difficult show to do well, the Civil War, at least I think so, since it requires so many people to sing and perform so very well. But they pulled it off! I wish the show would go on for a few more weeks (instead of closing soon) so I can come back again for another go. We live two hours away, so that is a bit tough without some forward planning. I will definitely be on the lookout for future Eagle Theatre performances!
Went to see Civil War as a last minute Saturday night thing to do. What an exceptional production and the quality of the performers was beyond our expectations. I was blown away by the quality of the vocal pieces, moving as well as powerful. We left thrilled that we had made the decision to go to Eagle and see this production.
I went to this theatre to see "Civil War, The Musical." What an amazing show with such talented actors. This was the most surprisingly wonderful plays/musicals I've seen, and I've been to about 50 plays in the past twelve months. This was 100% Broadway quality. Definitely beat almost everything I have seen off-Broadway. The singing was amazing and the story well knit together. The setting was simple, yet perfect. This is a must see!I would now like to take the kids. Easily understandable for most kids, I'd say, ages 11 and up.I've seen another show there several months ago. It may be far away for many, but the shows being put on here are worth the journey. They serve wine and other beverages and snacks for a reasonable price. There is plenty of parking. The design of the theatre has all seats with a clear view of the stage. The acoustics are on point.Try Goldstar.com for tickets, or purchase at the door. Based upon my two experiences there, you won't be sorry.
My wife and I recently went to see Glengarry Glen Ross, we had never been to the Eagle Theater and had no idea what to expect. We had an amazing time, the show was very professional and the theater is charming. We loved the fact that a local winery has a wine bar on site, and we were able to take a glass of wine back to our seats with us during the show. After the show we spoke and I think we will be purchasing season passes for 2015.
We have gone to the Eagle Theatre twice. We saw a production of "Lombardi" that was wonderful. We were absorbed in the production from the first word until the last. Rivaled anything we have seen at the Walnut for the past 3 years!Saw "Rocky Horror Picture Show" last night. Crowd was fun. Props were great. Fun was had by all. Staff at the Theatre are friendly and cute!
Never knew this place was around until last night after checking out a viewing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. The theater is smally however the setup is very nice. The owners created a fun atmosphere during the viewing even providing props for the movie. There was a wine bar and snacks. Over all a great little theater.
This fast moving musical with 5 boys and 4 girls dancing and singing did 36 numbers in 90 minutes with neither a break of an announcer. Great entertainment at very low cost.
