Great information on the Tuckerton Seaport, historical data and relaxing atmosphere. Quaint and educational on the life at the Jersey shore. Loved it

This has to be the biggest joke in Tuckerton the buildings are empty for the most part , they charge 8 bucks every day just to get into this joint even during so called free events , food truck event this year cost 8 bucks just to get to where the food trucks were before I even spent a dime on food. STAY AWAY. Rip off

A quaint little boating village with a beautiful museum. There are docks and animal tending areas to view. A wonderful duck-boat maker in a separate building, love the smell of fresh-cut wood. We had gone for the duck-hunting and boat event. Lots of fun dog trials, including "dock dogs", to watch.

Neat area, not much was open due to still being closed from Hurricane Sandy. Still some parts in disrepair. A nice drive if you are not far away and looking for something to do rather quickly.

This area offers something "neat" various times of the year and the Christmas Holiday time is one of the better ones. They have a Christkindlmarkt theme during the early part of December which has vendors and food for sale which is when these pictures were taken.

What a charming place by the shore to visit. Interesting museums at the Tuckerton Lighthouse and the Seaport itself showcasing and demonstrating the local area and the Pine Barrens. Great for kids and families and for all! The restaurant is good too. Sit outside on a warm sunny day. The Tuckerton Seaport has fun events scheduled all year long. Visit their website for their calendar.

A great number of the buildings are still not open due to the damage from the hurricane Sandy. We were directed to be sure to see the carving shops. Both were open but there was no one to explain anything to us. The general upkeep of the property was mediocre. It needed paint and sprucing in a lot of areas. The displays are geared toward young children and unfortunately I was traveling with a teen. There is an area (although not very large) where you can play mini golf. There is also a playground for youngsters and some animals to pet. They of course, only come to you if you buy food for them. Climbing the lighthouse for the view was probably the most interesting thing we found to do at this attraction.

The collections of local history and general maritime history is well above average. There are children attractions as well as a Custeau display. The full scale lighthouse can be climbed to the top and original craftsman are working onsight.

Great place to spend a day with the family. Learn about the heritage of the local area baymen and lots of interactive exhibits!

Our camera club went there to take pictures and found it very interesting. Well run with volunteers. If your interested in seaports this is a must stop for local history.

I was expecting a miniature Mystic Seaport. Not even close. Hurricane Sandy did some major damage to the Seaport so many attractions were closed. There were no exhibits. So, it was a short walk around the seaport and that was it. It was off season so that might have explained things, but, I was disappointed. I enjoyed seeing some of the old surfboards and other items, but, in general I was a bit disappointed.

Nice diversion on a clear weather day. The lighthouse is a replica of the original that fell into the sea in the late 1920's. All the buildings are reproductions of the island life that was here at the turn of the last century. The current focus seems to be the bird hunting on the bay with an an exhibit of decoys in the newly renovated museum/visitor's center.A family friendly place to spend the day

The Tuckerton Seaport is a very nice place to visit. If not for the kids, you will appreciate it more then the kids. They have many educational things to learn about and many things for the kids to experience. It takes you back a bit in time to the way things were in the area. The Staff is very nice and helpful. The Tuckerton Seaport reminds me of the many roadside attractions you went and visited as a kid on a drive with your Parents. Step through the doors of the Seaport and be brought back to when you were a kid and enjoy all that they have to see. Very nice day trip.

Once again it was off season and the Museum was not crowded, the drawback is that it was not fully staffed and not every building was manned but most were open. There are good depictions of the ecology of the area and the "working" seaport is well thought out and interesting. This is a great spot to take children, there are many things that are just plain fun as well as being educational. When you go be sure to see the Jacques Cousteau exhibit in the visitors building, it is excellent.
