It was not open and you could not use it during the time we were there. No sign to indicate that it was closed.
My 7 year old has been to water parks before - but she's 7 so she was fine with 4 slides to choose from and had a perma-grin on the entire time. $25 for 2-hours unlimited was well worth it
The good news is, this place hasn't changed much, which is also the bad news. The putt putt course is old and tired, but functional. The waterslides are excellent, but expensive. 34.99 for all day sliding is rather expensive. We went after 2:30 and got sliding for the rest of the day for 12.99 (weekday). One slide is very fast, and inundated you with jetted water at the start. The tower affords a nice view of the lake before you start your slide. The tunnel slide is hard on your back if you are an adult, say 5 foot 10, 180, but smaller lighter children reported no distress to their spines. Often over the years, me and my wife have played mini golf while the kids slide, and we can watch them go up and down the whole time. It fits right in with the rest of the kitschy area. They sell all day water sliding, a two hour ticket, or the end of the day special. I like it at the lower price, I would not pay full price for this.
This is a nice place they run specials to slide all day for a certain price, the kids enjoyed it. They have a food stand with a variety of things to choose from.
I love the water slides and if I remember right they had 5 of them. They are pretty fast and they have tunnels and it always end up in a pool at the bottom of the hill. The tiring part is that you have to walk up a steep hill every time you want to use a slide. If you do this for an hour or two you will definitely get your exrecise fot the day. In my opinion it is worth the climb
The Weirs Beach Water Slide has some interesting new props on it, but the slides seem to be the same as when I was a kid. Unfortunately, the Surf Coaster (which was huge and had all the new stuff) closed a while ago.
I give this 4 because we did night sliding and it was at a great discount. the kids loved it. we brought our own snack food and drinks and had 2 hours of fun. we would not consider it at full price.
My 9 year old had a ton of fun for an hour and a half going up and down the slides. $25 for that time - could spend the entire day at Water Country for about the same price. I would have loved to go down a few times myself but at that price I just couldn't justify it. Only 2 out of 4 slides were running - a fact they did not disclose. There was no one at the top directing the kids! He was told to watch for the child in front of them to land then count to ten!!! This was o.k. for him but if your child is younger you may want to join them.My advise would be to go on a Thur, Fri, Sat night from 6 pm-8pm , unlimited sliding for $13. Oh, and CASH only. Although there is an ATM right across the street.
I love the water-slides, We go there every year. The kids can spend all day here sliding. or playing mini golf. The prices are very affordable. and There are plenty of chairs to relax and watch the kids slide. or even go sliding yourself. They also have a nice snack bar. get some lunch or a drink or an icey treat. The staff is always very helpful and welcoming. Its a great way to cool off during the summer. and Night sliding is so much fun too!
Nice little water park and great slides if you have a fearless child this is the place to go in the summer!!!!!!!
