Theater was excellent for Rick Springfield's acoustic show. Excellent sound. The staff very helpful with attention to detail. Only thing I did not like is the seats are a little small and lean back. Not optimum in comfort but not bad either.
This Theater is an Historic mark in Manchester, NH. The renovations continue discretely, two couples went to see A Mid Life Crisis this past weekend. We had a lovely time, from the get-go the laughter started and continued throughout the performance. If you have a chance to visit while this play is on I highly recommend. This is not my first time here, and surly will not be my last.
Went to watch the Lion king and had a fab time. The seats leave no room for your legs so the taller folk did struggle and had cramp come the interval. Don't attempt to go to the loo mid performance! Bar is expensive but not unexpected.
This theatre is a very intimate setting in an older building in the Manchester area. It was a great setting for the Nutcracker. The seats in this location are very close together (as they are in most theatres) and if you are on the larger size, you may have a struggle getting in and out of the your as they are somewhat tight. I am not tall nor am I a large person and I felt a bit squished in the seat and that the legroom was much to be desired. Thank God I had an aisle seat otherwise I would have felt a bit claustrophobic. The theatre is located in a trendy section of the downtown area and very close to many great restaurants.
Wow what a New Years Eve to spend. Wow what a show! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and these guys know how to rock it! Fun night just wished it was a longer show it was so good!
On a Winter's Night was such a professional production. A great Christmas spirit throughout this historic venue. I recommend sitting downstairs, where the new seats are. The parking can be annoying if you arrive late, go early and have a dinner downtown and enjoy the local flavor. I also enjoyed Chorus Line musical earlier this year. Go online www.palacetheatre.org. and pick a show and you will be glad you did.
Small intimate venue seating 7 or 8 hundred people of which none will suffer a poor seat. Caters to culture oriented programming such as ballet, theater, various stage shows and small concerts.Located in a trendy, renaissance-like section of downtown Manchester with lots of great restaurants, it's a great date-night destination. It's not so big that crowds are out of control, but still offers a variety of entertainment.Parking can be painful, but no worse than anywhere else downtown. No refreshments.
Wow what another fantastic show! We have been coming to the Palace for the past 3-4 years and I have enjoyed every show! Although the Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band was very good I felt the music speakers were way to loud that it drowned the voices of the band out. I loved loved 80's Mix Tape was outstanding and Xanadu along with my favorite stand up comedian Bob Marley! If you enjoy musicals plays you love it here!
No mater how many times I have gone there I have never had a bad seat nor been to a bad performance.
Was really looking forward to seeing "The Jersey Boys". This will be the 3rd time we have seen this show, having previously watched it in London and Vegas. Pre theatre we had a lovely meal in the Kitchenette, across the road were we had 1 bottle of wine between the 4 of us.However, when we arrived at the theatre, we took a few photos in the foyer then proceeded up the stairs to the Circle. My sister, who is partially sighted, missed a step and we all giggled at this mishap. We waited at the top of the stairs while 2 of our party went to pay a visit, (to the loo). Whilst the other 2 waited, checking our Phones, we were accosted by a member of staff, wagging her finger at us. She said in a loud voice, " you were observed coming into the theatre, you have obviously had a few drinks, and I hope your not going to spoil the show for other people. This member of staff was completely unprofessional, people were staring at us, she asked what our seat numbers were so they could observe our behaviour.....These actions completely ruined our evening. Other people, close by we're making lots of noise and drinking, but nothing was said to them. We complained to management, who's only reply was, "yes we know all about you"????Was also told that the person who accosted us was called CAROL...Been to Palace Theatre many times, but will defiantly think twice before we return again. If ever....HO A WHAT NIGHT............
Had a wonderful time attending 2 children performances this summer (wish I could have seen all of them). I saw The Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast ---loved them both. Both performances were so good that the time flew by-approximately 45 minutes perfect for all ages---the actors were amazing- wish we could have this all year round especially winter time on weekends. A perfect way to spend the long months with family at a super affordable price!! Great job bringing this to a favorite venue--love the palace feel like your in a different place- would love to see some of the restaurants embrace this with special coffee and dessert specials after all performances!!
This place is alright It is in the heart of downtown though so traffic is a nightmare as well as parking I wish there was more food options like during intermission or something
We have attended many events at the Palace and each time has been a wonderful experience. The facility is very old but well maintained. Parking is convenient at a nearby parking garage.
Great show. Love the atmosphere and the history of this theatre. Close to many restaurants for dinner and a show!
Nice old theatre. The usher are very kind and greeting. My mix tape 80's was an amazing show. The seats are really small.
