What a great place to visit. The tour of the factory is nice but for us it's all about those amazing clydesdales. The first Saturday of the month they bring one of them out and you can get a picture next to the horse. It's great fun for kids and the best part about the clydesdale tour is that it is free!
This was such a fun tour. We did the Beermaster Tour ($25) and it was totally worth the time and money. We were there for about 3.5 hours from viewing the horses to the tour/tasting and browsing the gift shop. It was my first big brewery tour and it didn't disappoint. For your money you get a great deal of free samples and gifts. I would highly recommend it. One thing I enjoyed the most was at the end of the tour we got to enjoy our samples without being pressured or rushed along. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. If you are in the area come out for this one.
The Budweiser Plant in Merrimack is one of their smallest facilities, so it's easy to see and enjoy. There are free samples both before and after the tour. Soft drinks are available for children.Visiting the world famous Clydesdales is always a treat as well.
Not only a fun tour, but the garden is one of the best along with the Clydesdale's are available for a photo op first sat each month
I'm not a big fan of Anheuser-Busch's products, but their brewery tour is one of the best I've ever been on. We took a Beermaster tour, which is a few extra bucks than the regular tour, but gets you a comprehensive tour of the brewery with a dedicated guide. The tour is supposed to last 2 hours, but we asked so many questions along the way it was probably closer to 3 for us. Well worth the trip to Merrimack!
We were in the area staying about an hour from here and I REALLY wanted to go see the East Coast Budweiser horse team (there is only 3 in the country). So off we went being so close. Then once there realized we could do the brewery tour for FREE ok why not we're here after all. You could take photos though the tour. And at the end you each got to pick 2-12 ounce drinks from their menu that day but the trick is you only have 20minutes to drink them in!! They also have Non alcoholic beers and soft drinks for free too along with snacks. So everyone wins here. They do let you see the photos they took of your group at that point it was a good deal in my option for $20 got a 5x7 of the horse team, 5x7 of your group, 1-3x5 of your group, 2-2x3 of your group and a magnetic frame along with a memory folder of brewery tour the photos of the date on them. But you are not obligated to buy them. But still a good deal for the memory of our trip and first time here. I have done several other brewery tours of other places but found this one to have the much broader selection for those who don't drink or not interested in the actual brewery part is the horses with the stables and the gift shop which was reasonable in my option getting a cute shirt of the horses for my daughter (but could not say Budweiser for school reasons it just had the horse in gems and the city/state she loved it for $18 great gift for my teen at home. Postcards .50 ect which they had more horse stuff though like magnets as I collect them but everything said Budweiser. Oh well. My goal is to visit the other 2 horse hamlets in St Louis and Fort Collins Colorado this year!! We gave our bnb the info on this place to pass on to their guests as it was a straight shot down the interstate to find this place from where we were staying.
finished off a day of shopping with a visit to the brewery tour and it was really nice. lots of info is given and same with samples. Quite interesting definitely make time for it if in the area. |You wont be disappointed
If you like beer, this is a great tour. If you like horses, this is a not-to-be-missed adventure. The Anheuser Busch brewery tour takes about an hour. You’ll start in a pleasant waiting area just off the gift shop. For those “of age” you will get your first “taste” here, too. On our day it was “Shock Top.” The tour itself takes you through all stages of the brewing process from the giant train cars that unload daily to the bottling/canning operation. There are a few stairways, but they have elevators at every step of the way, making this a very handicap accessible tour.Folks typically think of this as the Budweiser Brewery, but they are brewing lots of other beers, as well. In fact, at the end of the tour, you’ll end up in a large hospitality room. A menu lists a variety of brews and ciders, etc., from which tour goers can select two. You get two full-size portions, along with bagged pretzels to nibble. They also have a selection of family-friendly beverages, too.The best part of the tour, in my opinion, is self-guided. Merrimack, NH is one of only three locations in the country where Anheuser Busch have teams of their famous Clydesdale horses. Though they tour 340 days a year, one full team of 8 is always “home,” so you can visit these enormous horses whenever you want. Plus, New Hampshire is the training location, so there are also pastures and corals behind the main stables, where you can see several pairs of young Clydesdales. You can stay as long as you want. Tours end at 4, but the stables stay open till 5. At the far end of the stable building is a wonderful room with some of their oldest wagons, formerly used for delivering beer. In this room is a TV monitor that runs a delightful array of stories and videos, including all those classy Clydesdales television commercials. All of this is for free. The only money to spend is $20 if you want the package of professional photographs that they offer. There’s no pressure. They literally take photographs of us tourists before we enter the plant to start the tour. They are really very good. Of course, you could spend money in the gift shop, where there are plenty of large and small items… my favorites there are the little stuffed Dalmations (to honor the dogs that ride with the Clydesdale hitch teams) and both a large and baby-sized Clydesdale. You’ll also find everything from specialty beers and clothing items to coolers and lots of jazzy souvenirs.
Last night a group of us attended the "Brews & Bites" tour at the Merrimack, NH Budweiser Plant. It was totally awesome!! Before the event we went on our own, to the stables to see the Clydesdale's. Beautiful horses....they had 10 in the indoor stables and several outdoor. Be sure to check out the famous Budweiser trailers they pull in the back display room. One horse was actually named after me "Pete"!! The "General" was very stoic and proper, and doing his own thing! What magnificent animals. The tour started promptly on time and the tour of the facilities was excellent. The tour guide was excellent. Had a beer tasting direct from the giant finish tank....ice cold! To complete the tour we all gathered in their pub area, sampled beers, and had 4 excellent appetizers of food which complemented certain beers they had. The cost of this evening tour was $15 if you bought the ticket online. $20 at the door. The plat was impeccably clean and the best part in my opinion was watching the bottling process. Tour lasted 3 hours. Lots of stairs, but they also offer elevators for those that want it. A must see.
Lots of stairs, so glad we left the babe at the hotel, although they said it would've been fine for the little one to tag along. 2 free beers to sample.Checkout the horses, they're all the way to the back of the main building but very grandiose. Loved it!
I am a Budweiser drinker and enjoy their products. My wife was shopping at the Merrimack Premium Outlets for the afternoon. The Brewery Tour could not of picked a more ideal location if they tried. The outlets are on the west side of the Everett Turnpike and the brewery is on the east side along the Merrimack River. The property is 300 acres with stables for the Clydesdale horses. See the stable, do the tour, have a couple of samplers and visit the gift shop. It was GREAT!!!!
My husband is a Budweiser drinker so I thought he might enjoy this tour. I dragged him out here and he ended up enjoying himself! The tour itself is completely free. It's very educational and interesting. You get to see the process from garden to bottle and it's quite impressive. You may also tour the stables where their massive horses live. They are beautiful animals. Worth a walk down to the barn, for sure. You also get to end the brewery tour with a few free beers. That was the icing on the cake for him! If you're in the area, it's a fun stop!
This is a great tour. filled with historical facts about not only the company it's self but even american history. great way to spend an Afternoon. I bring my kids most of the time. they even ask to go.
As a lifetime Anheuser-Busch drinker, I could not resist the temptation to visit the brewery and the Clydesdales when I was in New Hampshire. It turned out to far exceed my expectations. The tour was informative, exposing me to things I never knew about the brewing of beer; from that standpoint, it was indeed educational. The beer tasting was an opportunity to enjoy brews with which I was not familiar, and again expanded my horizons. The tour guide was charming and well-versed in the process, and enhanced the experience. And then there were the Clydesdales, who were in residence after having just returned from the Big E; they were the biggest reason I originally wanted to visit the location, and they did not disappoint. All in all, Anheuser-Busch provided me with a truly enjoyable distraction, and I appreciate that.
On a beautiful fall Sunday we drove to Merrimack New Hampshire to view the foliage. (which was beautiful). We were so close to the brewery at Budweiser Brewery and decided to stop. We had been about 15 years ago and remembered some of the tour. Start with getting your tickets (which are free) for the tour. They run until 4:00p.m. and last about 45 minutes to an hour. There is a lot of walking with three stops that require stairs, but if that is a problem they have elevators to use. You get to tour the plant and see how beer is made from the beginning to today. Guide was very informative and friendly. We saw a short film at the end and then were treated to two 11 0z. glasses of your choice of beer. We drank free Pepsi as we don't drink and they also gave out bags of pretzels in a beautiful dining area. We went into the gift shop where there is everything Budweiser and more. There are plush dalmations and clydesdale horses for sale along with t-shirts, knick nacks, glasses and beer glasses. After the tour we walked down to the stables and saw the horses. They are so beautiful. The grounds are well kept. It was a great tour and all ages can enjoy it. They take a photo of your party which you can purchase at the end of the tour. If you are in the area stop by as they are open every day.
