Diana's Baths is a fun (sometimes crowded) place to go for a cool afternoon dip. Be prepared to walk for a bit (wear comfortable shoes and bring snacks).
Was out for a walk and abought 1 mile in on trail opened up to rooks smooth as glass pools of water had many leves hight all kinds of paths great plasr to so end the hot day in water BRING A LUNCH YOU WILL NOT EONT TO LEVE THIS PLEASE A MUST VISIT onces found this plars been back maney times love it
I have never had a bad experience there. Visit twice a year. Love it!short walk to the falls.beautiful path to get there. Definitely worth the visit.
We vacation close by and always make a visit. The place is not as remote as once was and it is definitely on the map. You pay to park and they do check.....walk into the woods and the stream. The size is depending on recent rainfall. There are large flat rocks to rest on and picnic, sleep etc.
We parked up like many others and begun our stroll through the woods following the path towards the Diana's Baths. We seemed to be walking for a long time, but when we returned we got back in about 10-15 minutes so can only guess it seemed a long time as we were following many others in front of us. When you reached these falls it was certainly worth that walk as so peaceful and beautiful just the sounds of the rushing water and other people talking. We spent a fair amount of time here as you can follow the falls up by using the paths supplied or if in bathing suites like others you could scramble over the rocks and through the water. This is obviously a favorite spot with the locals as when we visited on a Sunday morning there was a steady stream on the paths and around the fall rocks all the time we spent there. We are so glad we found these falls and also didn't give up and turn round before reaching them on that path as well. Totally a must do if in this area without a doubt we think?Thank you for reading this John & Sue Webb Eastbourne UK.
My husband and I went there hiking and it was so beautiful! It was a bit too cold to go into the water, but it was beautiful and the perfect photo opportunity. If you are in the area, by all means go there!
The way to the fall is by foot, however the walk is very gentle. We were in the fall and the trees were yellow, red, and orange, so beautiful! The falls were full of water and we sat in the sun on the small rocks (or huge stones) and enjoyed the calmness that the place induces.
Diana's Bath is a beautiful natural grouping of small waterfalls. It is a lovely area and a must see for nature lovers. This is a busy attraction in the North Conway area in the summer so plan to walk a little. There is a short hike in from the parking lot but trails are easy and very well maintained. Enjoy!!
Last summer (2014) we took a hike up (my idea) for a break from the action of shopping (her idea) to stretch our legs, on the day we visited there was ample parking just off the road and the crowds were thin.Once we reached the top I walked into the water along a deep pool and found paradise. Next summer will definitely be sure to return.
We hiked up the mountain with my daughter and her friend. They braved the cold water to climb the rocks.
Diana's Bath is an amazing place to go especially in the heat of the Summer. The cool mountain runoff is a crisp way to cool off from the very moderate hike up to the Bath. The way the water has shaped the rocks over the millions of years is phenomenal and humbling!
Very pretty park and lovely cascading waterfalls make for a great summer getaway. Be aware that the lagoons where the water pools are incredibly cold and they are a bit slimey so it is very easy to slip and fall. Seems to happen pretty often. My niece took a header getting up out of the water and trying to make it over to the trail. Lots of kids and families so it's a bit loud at times but worth a day trip.
This is a National Forest attraction and as such has paid self parking or free if you have a National Park Pass. It's about a mile hike into the river with it's scenic cascading brook through the snow and ice crusted rocks. In the summer we have also hiked in here and there is swimming in the cold mountain brook. A great way to cool off on a hot summer day.
My dog and I love hiking Diana's Bath! whenever we are in town, we make a point of visiting Diana's Bath. Never too crowded and always a great payoff!
If you are visiting the North Conway area be sure to take the short walk through the woods to see Diana's Baths. Great beginners snownshoeing trail. You can rent snowshoes at Joe Jones in the center of town. Explore the trail that runs up to the top of the falls but be careful if it is icy and use good judgement when stepping onto frozen areas of the falls. Head over to Echo Lake fir more easy trails to enjoy.
