I love this place and feel so lucky to live in a town with its own groomed cc-ski system. Get your ski pass downtown at the Nordic Skier shop and they can give you up to date trail information and where to go as there are a few different locations in town with groomed skiing. There is also an email list serve they can help you to join that sends out ski reports and grooming conditions after each snowfall. The Nordic Skier is a full cc-ski shop with everything you'll need, including ski rentals. They also offer a season pass that allows you to ski at will anytime there is snow. Why not go after work with your headlight? The Sewell Woods area has its own warming hut with changing room, hot drinks, and snacks. Over by the Abenaki ski hill there are more trails and you can use the ski lodge with bathrooms and food. There are 30 km of cc-skiing available between the combined locations. In the summer time Sewell Woods keeps the trails maintained for biking and running.

I ski these trails probably 50 times and year, and think that they are great, and an asset to the town. Worth traveling to, just to enjoy. Steve and the crew spend countless hours grooming the trails so that they are in great condition during the ski season

I live here in Wolfeboro and have an annual pass for several years. It wasn't until I nordic skied in Maine and Utah did I truly appreciate the conditions that we have locallly. In both Maine and Utah, there was plenty of snow but the trails were just not groomed regularly due to a combination of poor equipment and poor conditions. I have to say that Wolfeboro XC has the equipment, care and concern to deal with all the nasty conditions that New England can throw at it. Thanks for this local gem! Thanks.

I came here in the 80's and love that it's bigger and better than ever. Wolfeboro is such a sweet spot and these trails are so much fun. The owner is so kind and accommodating. You get your tickets on Main St at the Sport store and then drive a short way. They have a very cozy warming hut and a great network of trails. This year the upper and lower are connected. I didn't do the second network the day I went but plan to soon. You can make a great day of it. Ski, then shop in the neat stores and my favorite après ski coffee and crepe is Seventh Sun down by the train station/visitors center. You can also ski the Cotton River trail. The $12 was money well spent and you can buy a season pass for around $60.
