I enjoy their products so I was thrilled to get a chance to see the place and take the tour. Sadly there was not actually work going on that day so I did not get to see any kegs or bottles being filled. Our tour guide was a young gal who did a good job, but has not worked there very long and it was perhaps a little obvious that she was not passionate about craft beer.The tour was free, and we were given small samples of what was currently on tap. In the tap room you can order in food that is delivered, so that is a great option.The facility is impressive, spotless, clean and modern.I look forward to returning again some day when they area actually running.

I have had Third Street beers all over the state of Minnesota, but recently made a visit to Cold Spring to check out the Brewhouse. There is not much in Cold Spring so you will not have an issue finding the Brewery. Look for the beautiful brick building with a lot of windows. The building is amazing inside and out, but the beers are even better! Bitter Neighbor, a dark black IPA is one of my favorites but not for everyone. Rise to the Top, is a lighter cream ale that should please even the picky drinker. They have a few other year-around beers but also have some seasonal beers that are noteworthy. In the summer months I would recommend trying Hunny Do, this is a really smooth tasting beer and is not bitter at all. Quite refreshing on a warm afternoon. In the winter, my favorite beer they offer is Sugar Shack. This is a dark brown maple stout. It has a sweet light maple note and also a little bitter, but perfectly balanced to make one heck of a beer. They also offer tours so check out their website to get more information. If you cannot find one beer to try, then get a flight and try 6 of them. This is a must stop for craft beer fans, or even for someone just getting into trying new beers.
