fire tower

Great views and a decent workout getting there. I go up there every fall to look at all the colors and the beautiful city of Pequot Lakes.

I've vacationed in the area for the last 16 years and always said I wanted to climb the fire tower. Well I finally did and was awarded with a spectacular view. The tower is over 100ft tall and rises way above the trees...so probably not for the faint of heart. I was there right after peak foilage colors in October but still got some nice colors. There is a nice parking lot with a trail leading to the tower. The trail is less the 0.5 mile but you will be going uphill.
