While driving through the Loess Hills in Harrison County we saw a sign that said Lavender Farm.We decided to follow the sign and see what a Lavender Farm was all about. So happy we did.Walked into the shop and were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming lady. We were also given Lavender sugar cookies and Lavender tea, delicious. They had had a tea and had extra cookies and tea. The gift shop was full of wonderful items from tea pots to crafts. This is the fun of going on a road trip without an agenda there is always an adventure.

A group of friends and I scheduled a lavender tea at the Loess Hills Lavender Farm near Missouri Valley Iowa. It was a bargain at $10 with 3 small tea sandwiches plus a salad, lavender scones, sugar cookies, and a fruit tart, and choice of 3 beverages. And we were presented with a spray of lavender blooms to take home. We enjoyed the gift shop, video presentations, wandering through the lavender, seeing the butterflies, and the friendly and helpful staff. There is no cost just to visit -- unless you buy something at the gift shop. Teas must be scheduled in advance.

I went to the Loess Hills Lavender Farm last weekend to clip lavender for my wedding in September. The owners were very pleasant and knowledgeable. I spent about 30 minutes clipping lavender in the field with simply the wind keeping me company as I was the only one there at the time. The aroma was relaxing and the scenery peaceful. I will definitely be returning again, but this time with my family. Thank you again for helping me make my wedding unique.

Pretty place, lovely owners, a great drive! Includes beautiful plants, which you can take pictures of. Great gifts shop with local artisan items.

This is a lavender "farm" with a wide variety of lavender plants. The have an interesting video on the lavender plant, a quaint gift shop and you can even buy lavender plants for your home garden. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.

Loved my visit to the Lavender Farm! The lavendar products all smelled so good (and the butter balm feels so nice!), and the lavendar cookies were a real treat! Great selection of gifts from local Iowa crafters and artists! Friendly staff.

The Loess Hills Lavender Farm is a wonderful stop in the Loess Hills just north of MIssouri Valley IA (Harrison County). Not only can you wander the rows of lavender plants, but the shop is a must stop & visit as well. So many uses in daily lives and items to surround yourself in. Shop keeper is very helpful.

Just on a whim, the wife and I took a short (30) road trip to see this cute little farm, nestled in the Loess Hills, just north of Missouri Valley (7mi). The folks there were just wonderful, attentive, informative and most cordial! They have a small store in which they promote homemade items, created with the various species of Lavender they grow on the farm. The shop features lavender products as well as select crafts of area artists. All Loess Hills Lavender products are made right here on their farm. (Lavender Butter Balm, Creamy Lavender Lotion, Lavender Bath & Shower Gel, Lavender Vanilla Spritz, Lavender for Cooking, Hand Made Lavender Soap as well as Fragrant sachet pouches and live potted Lavender plants to take home.
