It smells bad in places, not a lot of care goes into cleaning apparently, it's often jampacked with people and merchandise, some of it junk, and we were not able to find any definite hours anywhere. Their website says they're open "Tuesday-Saturday from early morning until afternoon." Well, they're really only open on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, and one Saturday we arrived around 2 PM. They seemed to be closed, with only a few scraggly people hanging around. The place did not seem to be safe then, so we left. They do have some bargains, though, and a great deal of stuff to pick through. Most of the vendors are friendly.

If you like flea markets and getting a good deal on "stuff" this is the place to be. The food prepared by the Amish is delicious and worth the trip. Try their baby back ribs-to die for!!!! Whenever I journey home to visit my family, this is a must stop on market days.

I stopped in here the other day. Granted it is winter, so the outside market was pretty barren. I was surprised though with temperatures near 50 degrees & it being a pretty nice day. There were maybe a handful of tables set up outside and a few right outside the doors to the inside market. We went inside the inside flea market and found half of the tables either empty or covered up (around 2pm on a Saturday). Mostly what was open was a stand with some dvds, books, antiques, jewelry and pots/pan/kitchenware. We went over to the second building with the amish goods to see about getting a bite to eat. Over there we saw that the raw meat market also had some lunchmeat sandwiches, a bbq pulled pork, bbq ribs and maybe a few other items. The pretzel stand had some pretzel sandwiches like hot ham & cheese. There was another stand near the back that looked like it had some chicken/wings. Inside this building was also a bakery, Lil Orbits donuts, anice cream shoppe and a candy store. We found most of the cases empty in the bakery. There were a couple of pies left, but hardly anything else. The meat market had a decent amount of raw meats left to choose from, but our shopping visit was fruitless. Overall, I was left unimpressed this visit. I usually visit in the summer. I have found some deals here, but lately I feel like I am finding junk. My last visit at the end of summer, I found that lots of the kids clothes (new with tags) were defective, stained, etc. Even stuff I bought, the dye washed out of it! Even in the summer, lots of the food stands were empty. I assumed they had sold out due to demand, but now I am wondering. Yesterday, on my winter visit, I found that even the inside market was barren and half closed-up even ON a Saturday afternoon! I am not sure it is worth a visit anymore. I might give it another try in the summer, but I am skeptical to buy too much from here anymore. I know I can't count on the food options here either...as they are either sold out or slim pickings.

I like flea markets and farmers markets. My daughter and I went. We got some of the mini doughnuts freshly made, and they were delicious! You have to stop by at least once.

They do have a lot of deals, some vendors are over priced. The food is exceptional and the Amish that run it are very nice. All the food & candy is homemade by them. I especially love their doughnut machine which you can watch make them. They are delicious. The best part is the aroma when you walk into the food market. It's hard to decide what to get. Friday is their busiest day. I would have gave them 5 stars but I wish they were even busier with more vendors......

The Amish Market is amazing, with excellent meats and baked treats, cheeses and candy. We shopped and also had lunch - their Pork sandwich was AMAZING, I am still thinking about it. Try their pickled cauliflower and pickled green tomatoes - they are to die for. I wish they were open every day.

The Amish Market side was permeated with the aroma of fried chicken. I did not see much there in the way of nice meats. We did get some baked goods. The flea market side was unimpressive as well. Too many chain smoking vendors that have had too much fried chicken. The bathrooms are quite scary, enter at your own risk. I think the market in Easton is much cleaner and nicer for food.

Outside was your average flea market, but inside... a little bit of food heaven! Meats, cheeses and baked goods - and everything we tried was wonderful! Big sandwiches, yummy wings, homemade cheeses and spreads, candies, chocolate covered bacon, and strawberry shortcake was what my family got today. I will be back again next time I visit Dover!

We have been going to Spence's Bazaar for years now. We try to stop in IF we happen to be in town when they are open. They are only open a few days a week: Tues-Fri and I believe they are now open on Saturday too. They have a small outdoor flea market where you can find junk, dollar store items, antiques, produce and just about anything in between. It is like a big yard sale. Today we saw lots of fresh local strawberries in addition to tomatoes and asparagus. It is nice to get some fresh local produce. Inside there are antiques, furniture, books and more. There is also a barber shop for men on location (open everyday except Wednesday). In the second building there is an Amish market where you can buy meats, baked goods, prepared foods and more. They used to hold auctions here too, but I'm not sure IF they still do that or not.Overall, we have enjoyed our visits with Spence's. It is not the largest "flea market", but it is decent. I especially enjoy the Amish section and the flea market stands. You never know what you are going to find.

Great place to find old collectables, as well as newer popular items. Most things you cant find in stores because they are no longer in demand can be found here. Got a great durable brand new designer phone case for $7.00 vs $18 for plain plastic case. Its definitely a great place to shops for bargains.

This is like a flea market/auction. The best part is the building with all kinds of food. The Amish meat area smells so good. I work over a block away and can smell the delectable aromas from work. They have rotiserie chicken(love gettign this to take home for dinner and i dont know what seasoning they use but if you boil the leftovers you dont need to add extra spices to make a wonderful chicken noodle soup), ribs, ham ( my favorite for lunch is the ham and cheese sandwich) thier is a turkey stand that has all kinds of turkey, coleslaw, potato salad, strawberry cheese desert that is yummy, There is a cheese and pickle stand, they have home made dips, the strawberry fruit dip is so good on all kinds of fruit. there is a candy shop and a bakery. If you are looking for delicous cakes, fresh breads or pies this is the place to go. try the strawberry cheesecake. they also have alot of different stands to buy new items like clothes, sneakers, the softest blanket i have ever seen. then other poeple can have a yard sale too.

Spence's Bazaar was hopping the day we visited. Not certain what was on the agenda - expecting a combination of fresh fruits and vegetables (farmer's market) and flea market (used furniture and household goods). What we found was enough types and styles of food for a feast. There was fresh, fresh, fresh food - meat, (burger, chicken sausages, fish, and more) homemade bakery (heavy cream filled donuts, cinnamon swirl bread, cookies, pies, muffins and more) homemade sweets (donuts fried while you wait, fudge, candy, honey) and several take and eat businesses serving breakfast, lunch, snacks and sweets. We spent so much time inside with the food items (and going home with full and heavy bags) that we did not get a chance to shop the flea market area outside and in the back. Will make this a regular spot - we are almost out of the delicious bismarks that we picked up to share!
