If there is NOTHING at all to do, then you might consider this. The problem is that the cars are old, some do not work, and some are very slow. They will not switch you from the slow car, so you are stuck putting around and WASTING a ticket. The staff are young kids who are not interested in customer service and would rather be off somewhere. Several times there were crashes and people got stuck and no one came out. It's too bad, because it really could be a lot of fun. Bathrooms were filthy. I would not recommend this. Hit the beach instead.
The park is unsafe. The staff lacks a manager. Each time I have prior to the experience the only employees are teens who are completely unprofessional. They have no sense of safety or courtesy. While driving a go kart, I was hit accidentally by a young child. My head slammed into the metal kart and my sunglasses flew 20 feet. I recommend avoiding this experience. The staff ignored the incident. They did not have a basic first aid kit or offer any assistance. We demanded a refund after sustaining a serious injury to my head. I would not recommend anyone paying for this experience.
We always stop here to ride go-crats and play mini golf. Prices are fair and the kids love it. We'll be back again next year.
Kids love driving the Go Karts. Located close to Midway theaters. Stop by let the kids ride the carts then catch a movie. perfect evening off the boardwalk and parking was easy
The golf course was surprisingly challenging with putting. The course is well maintained. You walk through the bumper boat area to get to it. At night it is not as visible from the street. It is across the parking lot from the speedway and water park. Good course to play.
This place is amazing!! For $20, the kids can slide and swim all day. Each slide is life-guarded, and life vests are allowed. You can see there are two slide "clusters", a lazy river, a really cool kiddie pool and a regular pool. There are plenty of chairs for parents to relax, and from them, you can see half the park.
Bit of an artificial oasis in a strip mall, it does end up getting a lot of visitors taking a break from the beach. The pool is ok, the lazy river is bit of a joke and the water slides (about six small ones) are ok. The one-bathroom, a restaurant that can run out of burgers at 11 am (place opens at 10) and pizza by noon, not many shaded umbrellas make it a bit of a tough one for adults but kids seem to love it.
Had two 12 year olds on vacation. Limited amount of rides but the go carts were some the best in the area. Look for coupon to save a few bucks. Would go back for the go carts.
Took my son and three friends to Midway Speedway in May and bought each a wrist band. Was told by the woman waiting at the ticket booth that they did not need to use all the tickets on the wristband that day - we could cut off the wristband and come back another day. We used four tickets of the wristband in May and came back the middle of July to use the remaining 4. My son used 2 of the tickets on one ride no problem. He went to another ride and took the ticket off the band and gave it to the attendant. The attendant said he would not leave my son on the ride because my son removed the ticket, not the attendant. I went over and asked the attendant for my son's ticket back - he RUDELY refused to give the ticket back or let my son on the ride. I asked to speak to a manager. Was told the manager would be in the next day but his son would talk to me. WAITED over 25 minutes for 4 teenage kids to come to talk to me and all they did was laugh at me. REFUSED to give my son his ticket back or let him on the ride. I WILL NEVER use Midway Speedway again and will tell everyone I know never to got to Midway
My daughter and I went to the Water park at Midway next to the speedway for a late afternoon adventure. There was a $35 combo ticket for the using the whole park, but we did the $15.99 water park special after 4 pm. There is a kiddie pool with slides and adventures for young children, a full size swimming pool, a lazy river and two large water slides. One has 3 body slides and the other has 3 slides for tubes or mats. We had a great time! There is a snack bar and plenty of seating - tables, chairs, loungers, etc. A plus was the Entertainment book has a buy one get one free admission coupon! Great value, fun and relaxation.
First time at the Midway Speedway park this summer. My family and another family rode the go-carts and played mini-golf together. .Staff should do a better job controlling the go-cart drivers. There are signs posted that tell you the go-carts are NOT Bumper Cars. Apparently some adults decided not to abide by the signs and safety instructions. Mini Golf was fun and very challenging...many of the holes are not level--little hills every where on the gold course. They actually have a few mini-golf holes inside a volcano which was neat, but it was very hot inside!!!!
My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way home from the beach to do some mini golfing. It's $8/person, which is about the average for mini golf in these areas. Based on some of the signs, I gather that you can find coupons in one of the visitor's guides too. The golf course is based on Hawaiian volcanoes, and each hole has a sign with a little fun fact about a volcano. You play both through and around the volcano, which was really neat. The course was clean and well-maintained, and we had a really great time.
From the highway the place looks awesome. We got there and I bought my son and I a 5 ride bracelet. Upon further inspection the tracks are really short. I thought perhaps they went up and around the property but each of the tracks are really no more then a circle. I saw a kid probably no older then 5 drive full speed into a wall and burst into tears. Once we decided the go karts were lame, my son decided he wanted to go on the gravity bounce. The young man who worked there couldn't find the scale needed to determine how many bands to use. He was huffy, stomping around being upset. He couldn't get the harness to fit my son, which resulted in him slamming the harness down on the ground and stomping off. At this point I called the young man over and 'settled his hash' as we say. The people around agreed that this worker was being ridiculous. I told him to forget it. I don't want my kid on a ride which requires a safety harness administered by someone in his state of mind. He later apologized saying he had a rough drive to work that morning but I was done with the place. I gave my bracelet to a nearby customer and we left. The place is cheesy, the kart track is lame, and the employees are rude. There is also a mystery pool near the gravity bounce that we thought was amusing. It apparently had no purpose. 60 bucks I will never get back.
We were 3 adults and six kids ages 2-11. Everyone had a blast! We did family go carts and water park! So much fun. No lines. Fun for all ages! Cheaper than jungle Jim's.
The wait was so long that we did not even have time to play put-put even though I paid for it. The night was not busy it just took FOREVER for them to get drivers in their cars and get them started we had to wait so many rounds that we only had time for 3 total rides in 2 hours. Plus, my kids complained that the cars went way to slow and said it was boring - they are 7 and 4 and have more fun at home driving their power wheels. Lots of money for a clear tourist trap!
