It might not be the longest boardwalk, but it is a great one, beautifully maintained. You can walk from one end to the other in less than 30 minutes. A small bit of it is located "in town" but if you continue walking past the shops and restaurants, you can see some beautiful beach houses. If you walk it to the end (Prospect Street) you will find yourself at Silver Lake, the bird refuge. Of course it gets crowded during the summer, but when we were there is was quite empty and great for walking.
I love to head down to the boardwalk. It is a great destination year round. Summer if you want the sun and sand or the rest of the year for a quieter experience.
This is a small boardwalk area, but it is so easy to get around and there are so many shops and eateries. There a crowd there all year round. Just love Rehoboth!!!
Parking does cost (meters) but you can plan ahead for that. Beach is always clean and beautiful. Gaming, fast food and restaurants are excellent. There are clothing stores, a great book store, art stores, and more and more. People friendly. You'll love it.
Walked the boardwalk and took in the sights. Ate lunch at Grotto Pizza, but there are many places to eat that are delicious. Enjoyed stopping at the Retail outlets and bought a few items i.e. shoes and clothing at 50% off. I look forward to my next trip with my wife who also enjoyed the trip immensly.
Rehoboth's boardwalk is the classic boardwalk experience and it's on a human scale. There are pizza joints, coffee shops, arcades, amusement parks and lots of shops. It's not too long, so you do get to the lovely quiet sections where you can walk with just your sweetie, the ocean and the moon. The bonus to the boardwalk in Rehoboth is that the boardwalky type shops extend for several blocks up Rehoboth Avenue. All are open until at least 10pm, most later. There is something for everyone here!
Love this boardwalk. Very clean and well maintained. Close to all shopping and restaurants. Beautiful views of the ocean. We go several times per year
Rehoboth Beach is like Ocean City used to be. Family Friendly Affordable Fun without a lot of traffic, but don't try to find a parking spot during the day. Be sure to read the rules before buying a weekly parking permit. If you have quarters on you, don't download the app for metered parking - you'll pay more. However, if you are lying on the beach, you would not have to get up to load more quarters if you have the app. Decide what's important to you. Funland is great - and inexpensive. There are plenty of places to eat, but there is also a market that is within walking distance. Park your car and leave it. Rent a bicycle for the week. We are going back this year for a wedding:)
For a beach town Rehoboth is one of the best kept towns i have seen. It is clean and loaded with shops and We go mostly in the winter. There is always something going on there. The Sea Witch Festival is great. Rehoboth Ave. is very nice and well presented. They get crowded just as any other resort but seem to handle it well. Always feel safe walking around there.
Love the RB area and the boardwalk. Go bright and early for a nice walk for exercise. Or later in the eve for a relaxed stroll. Great food choices, shopping and more!
Beautiful, well-maintained boardwalk (quite active for a February!). Classic tacky seaside shops, with range of bad to comfy food ;-)! Yet, just up the street, greater range of rich food options and funk to upscale stores. Fun for all!
too much fun, alot of vendors, everyone was nice to the plungers, nice setup placement between vendors and announcer stage.
Went to the Rehoboth beach last summer and surprisingly, it was great! Boardwalk has some nice, good tasting, typical boardwalk food. Compared to atlantic city boardwalk, the shops almost felt "posh". Clean and the crowd was very nice.
The Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk is a great place to stroll on any sunny day. During the summer season it bustles with tourists and the shops offer all types of goodies from food to clothes to hard good for fun. One of the friendliest, nicest beaches on the East Coast.
The boardwalk has a variety of things to do for people of all ages. There are shops, games, amusement park rides, bars and restaurants. My fiance and I are in our 20's and went to Rehoboth Beach and had a great time. There is also live music at night during the summer. I highly recommend it for young couples and families alike.
