Doesn't sound like a great theme but the organizers must be complemented on a very interesting display

This is a great museum, each season it showcases a different area, often of local culture. The museum is not large, but is big enough that it is worth your time and assists with learning about art and the surrounding area through the works of others. You can easily get through the museum in 30 to 45 minutes, but could also spend more time. There are surrounding historical buildings that are fun to learn about and see. There are also many good lunch places around, making a nice afternoon.

Took our first grade classes to this museum for 2 years. Great exhibits with a small room for children to experience things. Most children excited about their adventure. I haven't been there since I retired but I know it had a lot of fascinating things to see. It may have been updated even more since.

Let's admit it...many tours with people pretending to be historical figures can be hooky. But not this one. For two to three hours you get to hear really interesting stories about the amazing hardships the early pioneers faced in creating a vibrant community in an uninviting desert. Plus you get access into many of the main historical buildings as part of the deal.

The $3.00 admission was extremely low for the quality of art presented. Some icons dated from the 1500's, and there were quite a few staff around to answer questions and watch straying children. Extremely knowledgable and friendly staff.
