We like the Main Street area of Park City. There are lots of great restaurants here; we have dined at several and especially like Chimayo for Southwest Cuisine. Night life beckons with bars and good times During the day, shopping and going to the art galleries is a delight. For a break from shopping there are good coffee shops. Its a very pleasant and fun place to go in Park City.
For a ski town, you can't do much better than Main Street in Park City. There were tons of good restaurants, amole shopping and a variety of galleries to keep non-skiers occupied and to bridge the après-ski / dinner gap. Main Street is a big reason I highly recommend Park City / Deer Valley for groups.
Main Street in Park City is a great place to spend the day if you're looking for a causal time strolling up and down the street in friendly conversation or checking out a variety of specialty shops and restaurants of various levels of perfection. There are touristy type shops, art galleries and upscale clothing boutiques and specialty shops to be enjoyed by all. You will also find a variety of restaurants of various flavors and prices depending on the type of dining experience you are looking for. There are also entertainment type venues to patronize. You can see somewhat by the photos that the town is built to look like an old mining town. The ski lifts can pick you up right there in the heart of town. I am not a skier so I can not give review of that fabulous feature of the area, but the city is tucked into a beautiful setting that makes for a very relaxing afternoon if you're in the area of staying near by in Salt Lake. It's only a 35-40 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake. If you want to get out of the city and see the mountains, I would recommend getting out in the fresh air and taking a drive up that direction. Go! Explore! and Enjoy!!
I go to Park City several times a year. I never miss walking on Main Street. There are many restaurants, interesting art galleries and fun shops. Whether you are traveling as an individual, couples or as a family, there is something for everyone. Don't miss it!
This is a GREAT place to visit....tons of restaurants, fun shops, great galleries and a lively atmosphere. Definitely want to visit again!
loads of lovely shops and galleries along the entire main street (top to bottom) - many pubs/bars, restaurants catering to all price points - along with all the glitz is also a post office!
Walking up and down the main street you will be surrounded by mountains, and you will find shops of all kinds, restaurants, bars, and entertainment. People of all ages will be enthralled by this city which is a sight to see in the daytime and during the night.
Walking along Main Street is lots of fun! Plenty of adorable shops, restaurants, and galleries with gorgeous views of the mountains and colorful homes. One should definitely do this when not on the slopes!
Park City's long focus on preserving its heritage is on display on Main Street. The 19th century mining heritage feel is well maintained with strict building codes and a very cohesive business district. Fun to visit. Especially enjoy summers with Park Silly Sunday Market on Sunday.
We live here and still love going to Main Street Historic District. There are a great variety of restaurants for every budget, many stores, bars and entertainment (like the Egyptian Theatre). The free Main Street trolly helps with the walk up the hill.
Main Street is somewhat steep, and instead of shoveling when it snows, they dump salt everywhere making it a slushy mess! It's fine in the summertime, but they could certainly improve their snow removal techniques.
Probably something for everyone here - excellent restaurants, cute shops, a museum, a theater, lots of bars. Park at the top, walk downhill and take the trolley back up if the altitude is bothering you.
We've been coming to Park City for many years. Love walking around, visiting the shops, art galleries and eating in the many restaurants. It's a lovely, homey, scenic, somewhat old fashioned location. Lots of locals hang out around too, so its not just tourists. It's one of our favorite vacation spots, and we always spend days walking around Main Street.
Main Street has it all - excellent restaurants, great shops, and wonderful galleries. It is extremely attractive, especially at night with all the lights. During my ski week, I always take a day off the enjoy the town and all it offers.
VERY cool place to hang out at nigth. Beautifull but expensive. I recomend going to the no name s saloon, wich is a nice place to have a drink
