One of the best places for information. One of the best tourism centers I have ever been too. Has maps and books for the area. Educational video. Knowledgeable and pleasant staff
We phoned the visitor center about a month in advance seeking information on Moab. They were extremely helpful, very knowledgeable about the areas where we should hike, sights to see and what to expect in terms of weather for the week we were coming. They mailed us a very useful packet of area info which made our decision to visit Moab!
Thank you so much for writing a review. We place a lot of importance on helping visitors discover all there is to do in the Moab area and will gladly suggest options for things to do that will fit the time available. We are glad you had a good experience at the Moab Information Center. Please visit us again!
The Moab Information Center is the place to get the information you need while visiting this area. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful.
The Information Center provides information for a lot of destinations around Moab including National Parks, U.S. Forests and BLM lands. There are a lot of reference materials available including maps, brochures, and local dinosaur discoveries. The Staff is helpful. Occasionally there are lectures concerning geology, history, and other topics. For visitors to Moab, a great resource.
I stopped for help three times during our visit. The staff was helpful. Thought about buying maps of the three parks. I was asked why not just use the maps provided by the rangers? Good advice. Worth and time and effort.
The staffer is a enthusiast, and I credit him for giving me info that got me and my FJ safely through an introduction to the experience that is Moab. It is beautiful gear jacking country.
They give you a list of what to see based on how much time you plan to spend in the Moab area and suggest what would suit you best.
It is so good to hear that our suggestions were helpful to you. Moab is one of those special places with so many things to see and lots of ways to see it (hike, bike, drive, 4-wheel, raft, canoe, jet boat, and more). The MIC staff can help you make the most of your stay, whether it's your first visit or 20th. Books and guides are great, but there is nothing like being able to talk to a local who knows the area well. Hope you come back to visit again.Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
The Information Center has all the info you could ask for. I think it's run by the BLM but the Bathrooms are the only public ones in down town Moab besides the library.
If your in town and need to know where to go from maps and and guides, you can find it there. If you want pictures or just travel info you have to stop here.
Thank you so much for your review. We hope you'll stop in again on your next visit!
I first went to this visitor center 15 years ago. In all that time it has been kept in great shape, that the quality and helpfulness of the staff has always been great. Plus the bathrooms are clean!
You are so right that there is so much to see and do in the Moab area. Those of us who live here would say several lifetimes worth! We hope you are able to visit again and again. When you do, be sure to stop into the MIC to say hi. Thank you for your review. We appreciate it!
In winter, the Moab Information Center will have reduced hours. Thursday - Monday 9 AM - 5 PM; Tues 1 PM-5 PM; Wed 9 AM-2 PM. Closed Christmas and New Years. The staff will be up to date on all the extras going on in Moab, like live music at night, local plays or fundraisers that are fun events.Very helpful.
