Chips for poker tournament are probably 20 years old so the colors are almost gone.When I complain to manager he said just for wpt chips are new .......I you kidding me

This was nothing to get too excited about. It was neat & clean with plenty of machines to play. Tables had empty seats also. Our visit was on a weekday so we expected smaller crowds. All of the staff were very nice. If you are looking for a slower paced place to play check this one out.

The casino is very small. The slots are tight. Employees at cashiers cage quick but not friendly. They talk to each more than the customers.

I love the video poker. Some of the vp machines are getting a little old and worn. More video poker machnies would be nice as they seem to fill up when it's busy, especially upstairs. Please add some new games!

I play poker in Black Hawk once a week. I normally go to the Isle or Ameristar but I went to the Gates this week after having not played there in a while. They recently upgraded to use the Bravo system on their tables so you can use the Bravo smartphone app to check on the games that are running. The room is comfortable and the staff is friendly. They have the most poker tournaments in a Black Hawk. As with all poker rooms in Black Hawk the bad beat jackpot is raked up to $2 per pot (plus house rake 10% up to $5). I would prefer to not have a bad beat jack pot at this casino. I expect to start playing here more often.

My family and I went to the Golden Gates Casino for the first time this weekend. We normally go to the isle or the lodge. When we arrive, we sign up an to receive members cards. We are told to go to the kiosk and activate it. The kiosk is less than ten feet from the front desk. It is out of order. I go back to the front desk, I am told to wait so she can go bag up popcorn that nobody makes a mess( I didn't see a single person get popcorn while I was there). I then asked if I could speak to a manager. No help from the lady bagging popcorn or the security woman. Both of them were rude, and lazy. They did not care to receive mine or my families business. I will never be going back. I called and tried to get a hold of a manager. No help on the phone either. If anyone of my employees ever treated a customer like that; they would be fired on the spot.

This is the best casino if you enjoy poker tournaments. Very professionally operated. Had a great time playing in two tournaments.

Love playing poker here. I also love playing the train games. I have a lot of fun playing black jack too. Overall pretty good day.

Poker room has daily tournaments and games are friendly for the most part. Must overlook players who think they are Pros.... Just a great place to play poker.

Nothing to complain about - I like that they have some of the older slots which is nice and they pay out enough to be fun :)

You can eat at the Cafe on 3 and it is pretty good and pretty cheap. You can get free meals on your Golden Gates players card.
