I first rented a road bike with Colorado Bike Service in 2001 when I was in Vail for five days in July for a wedding. The Cannondale road bike worked perfectly and I was able to enjoy cycling up Vail Pass. A year ago, my wife and I returned to Vail in September to enjoy a week's time-share exchange. This time I rented bikes for my spouse and me. My wife loved her compact crank Cannondale as I much as I did my triple-chainring. We returned this September to again rent from CBS. After I experienced a blowout on my rear wheel and then a broken spoke, co-owner Jeff declared that we was switching out the pair of wheels and promptly took down a new set of wheels he was selling and installed them on my bike. I felt like I had broken down along the route of the Tour de France and my team car had come to my rescue! CBS offers excellent service and can meet the needs of the most professional and discerning rider as well as the weekend occasional rider. Co-owner Dominique, a native for France, and her Jeff also offer a wealth of knowledge of where to ride in the valley.
