Downtown Grand Junction has nice restaurants, shops and entertainment all within walking distance. It may be one of the largest towns on the Western Slope, but it still has a small town feel.

In my opinion the downtown is dying. I grew up in Fruita and left in 1966 after the main street makeover. Just driving through there now it looks like mostly junk shops with very poor parking slots.

Downtown is truly spectacular! The tree-lined streets, the "Art on the Corner", the variety of cafes and shops, and the many local events give it an all American feel.

Main Street in Grand Junction offers unique shopping, some good food, very friendly service and a strong sense of what is good in rural Western Colorado. The community's pride is everywhere and folks are always willing to help and assist. During the summer it is bustling and on Thursday nights during the summer the Farmer's Market is not to be missed.

great walking street filled with small shops selling everything. You can find anything here from gifts for love ones to a smart new outfit.

It's a nice quaint place lots of outdoor cafes I like it not crowded nice shops people are really nice. You get to now people . Great place to be with family and friends. In summertime they have a farmer's market every Thursday night and live entertainment that's totally free

There is allot of neat little stores to explore. It has a nice feel. There is a great candy store downtown that the kids just love! There is also plenty of clothing shops, a few restaurants and a couple great antique stores. I have not been to the museum yet but I heard it is great. That is the next destination on our list.

Nice area with restaurants and shops etc. There is art on the corner and a farmers market in the summer.

Love the sculptures downtown - great variety and nice quality. Strolling along the coffee shops and stores, not to mention the lovely Avalon Theater, is highly recommended. We almost missed it passing through Grand Junction - so glad we made the time to see it.

I love going to Downtown Grand Junction. It has the small town feel and the shops are all so special and unique. It's a peaceful way to spend a lazy day!

A well-maintained street with many art sculptures around the corners. Great for some afternoon walk, has plenty of good restaurant nearby and the famous Mesa Theater.

We chose to have dinner away from downtown, and were very tired, so we did just a cursory tour of the downtown area. Looking back we should have chosen a restaurant down there and given it the time it deserved. Liked the artwork and layout. They may have some work to do, but it seems like a place worth spending some time. Next time we're in the area, we plan on spending our time there.

A bit more dated and gritty is this downtown. They have a few bars on that stretch that draw locals and Main street Bagels seem to be where the community gathers. Not crowded during the week, but overall a fairly good downtown for a trip to eat or drink or grab a famous toffee.

Downtown Grand Junction is well maintained and has beautiful art sculptures placed all around and at all corners. Many restaurants and several places to have a cocktail for lunch or an evening out. Rich in art and music venues, if you are a lover of music other than country check out the Mesa Theater. There is something for everyone here, however, the restaurants can get a little pricy so be sure to check the menu boards to find what you like and in your price range.

Great little shops, quaint winding street, easily accessible. The shop keepers were very friendly, even offering our dogs some water.
