Incredible views at any time of the day, boating (including boat rentals), fishing, birding, wild life, hiking, camping, including RVs, it's all there. Two full service marinas and even a restaurant on the premises (seasonal) make the place a dream. It's about twenty miles West of Gunnison on Rt 50. Enjoyable any time of the year.

The day of fishing with our guide Robbie was to say the least "Amazing" He brought all the technology and knowlege, and combined for a genuine caring that our experience was one for the books, made it a day to remember. He took the time to make sure we were in the right spot and also shared with us tips to make the fish bite, changed lures, baits, to make sure we got the fish we came for. At the end of the day, we left with a cooler full of (Cleaned) salmon and perch to take home and enjoy the experience for weeks to come, and the fish tasted amazing. Thank you again for making this the best day of fishing I ever had, I will cherish the memories.

This is the largest artificial lake in Colorado. We had a great day fishing and fooling around on the lake. The marina is friendly and only charged us for a 1/2 day rental for a pontoon boat. We were a large group and were treated well, even when some of us were just hanging around since we had to swap people out on the boats.

Robby our guide was awesome. He worked hard all day long. He kept changing out lures making for sure that the fish were biting. He also made sure we were staying on the fish. He give us lots of tips and tricks to use on are own. Very educational and infromive guide.

We recently booked a trip with Sport Fish Colorado. Arranging a day/time was easy, and working with Robbie to coordinate our schedules was hassle free. Each of the guides we meet from Sport Fish Colorado were very professional, knew the water well, and put us on the fish. We went home with a cooler full of trout and salmon, and had a great time fishing for them. We are planning on making the Blue Mesa guided trip a yearly tradition. Thanks.

My brother and I went out fishing with Robby last week and had a great time. I almost never write reviews, but want to add to the long list of positive comments for Blue Mesa Fishing.Robby is a dependable, trustworthy guide who has a passion for fishing. His detailed knowledge of the lake and determination to get you to the fish is all anyone can ask of a guide. We caught salmon, browns, rainbows and went after a few Lake Trout.If you are in or around Gunnison, I would absolutely recommend fishing the Blue Mesa and Robby

What a great say fishing on Blue Mesa with Seth. He worked extremely hard to find the fish . Was very attentive to keeping rods up and in water. Wasnt in a rush to comeback in. Filleted our mixed catch of trout and salmon.We will go with him again!!!!!

I'm not a fisherman, but I understand it and I can think of no better place for fishing. The scenery is outstanding.

We spent two half days in a rental pontoon boat on the lake and came away with 2 fish. Others were getting a few but no major hauls. Can't blame it on any thing but fishing luck.The lake was beautiful for the two days; like glass and not much wind. The water level is way down but is coming up some with the late runoff. The Elk Creek Marina has fewer boat slips due to the low water. All in All, had a very pleasent tour of Blue Mesa!

We've fished Blue Mesa, Morrow Point and Crystal for nearly 30 years. Guide Robby Richardson knows the water, fish activity and has up to date equipment. He works hard to make your experience the best every time! We highly recommend fishing in the Gunnison area with Sport Fish Colorado!!

We had a great trip, Robbie worked hard to keep the right lures in front of fish all morning. Book him if you like Kokanee fishing done right.

If you have never had a fishing guide, you don't know what your missing. My trip this year was in April and we were after monster lake trout. In one morning we caught & released a 27 pounder (39") and two 16 pound(32") lake trout. And a 4.5 lb brown that seamed way small after those others. I am so impressed with the knowledge these guys posess about the Blue Mesa fishery. I try to do at least one trip every year with them and each time is a different experience. The fishing conditions and techniques change constantly and they are always on top of it. They are great teachers if you want to learn, but also great people to just spend the day catching ridiculous number of fish. There is no better way to learn the lake and have fun than fishing with Robby & Randy.

Robby is first class all the way. Very customer service oriented and knows how to catch fish!! We had a great time the first trip and booked a second. In short this to was worth every penny. We got on the water about 6-630am and between 4 of us we had 52 fish in the boat by 11am. Or guide robby was hard working and knowledgeable. Even though it was chilly, out he broke a sweat busting butt keeping our lines baited and in the water, giving us every chance to catch fish. I would highly recommend our guide, Robby Richardson, to anyone looking to advance their fishing resume or even just getting started in trolling.

We have been going out with Robby for several years now. Our repeated fishing trips to Blue Mesa are always fun, entertaining and a great day of catching fish. Those real exciting moments when we have come across a school of fish and juggling several lines make fun conversation pieces! My nephew, sons and I truly enjoy Robby's company and are amazed on how well he does his homework to stay so informed/educated on all aspects of fishing.
