Arrived at 3:30 pm on a Saturday in August - the doors were already padlocked.Too bad, since its the only attraction in "Downtown Walden".

A lovely museum filled with wonderful things from the past. Not a slick presentation, you get a real feel for the area and community. Highly recommend a visit.

This is the best little museum I've been to in a long time. I went there today with my grandfather and we both enjoyed it a lot. He had been there a few times prior. There is so much history and little left to question as everything, even the photographs are labeled. This is a hidden gem of a place. I will be back to explore in more detail!

We stopped in here thinking that we would just kill 20 minutes or so and be on our way. Wow, were we wrong. The collection is quite large and after an hour we still had not seen it all. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time in our schedule to stay longer but wanted to. The people were friendly and helpful with answers to any question we posed. I will definitely return to see it all.Oh, and they operate on donations. No set price which was a nice surprise. I've been to many of these local museums where they really over-price their offering. Not so here.

This unique museum gives a real glimpse into all aspects of life in North Park since the homesteaders of the 1800's. John and Hazel Gresham, lifelong residents, spent a good part of their lives accumulating items, getting the museum off the ground, and leaving a historical legacy of the people and the land of North Park--filling 27 rooms are all aspects of life from home, entertaining, school, ranching, railroad, service to country, family life, community, early transportation, and so much more. Don't miss this wonderful glimpse into an earlier time in our Wnation's history. The curators are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the people and the history and are a valuable resource to the visitors.

It has a wonderful collection of pioneer artifacts and everyday life, many from local families still living in this area today. It's well worth a visit! Great examples of everyday pioneer life, homes, cooking, work, school etc, etc. Only open in the Summer months.

I only wish we had more time to spend there, the gentleman that worked there as a volunteer so interesting that I could have chatted with him all day

I hate museums and only went into this one because I had time to kill, and it was GREAT!! So many interesting items from Colorado history. They even had an old telephone switchboard that was apparently used up until 1970. You really get the feel of what rural Colorado was like way back when. A very friendly and wonderful man showed us all around. Don't miss this museum.

This was a first rate museum in a tiny little town. My wife and I visited one July afternoon and were greatly impressed. The disaplays were quite informative and the docens were extremely knowledgable. You must see the information on the National Christmas Tree. Just that is worth the trip.

This was my second trip to the Pioneer Museum and I enjoyed it as much as the first.I love visiting this frontier cabin turned museum. It’s full of wonderful momentos from days gone by. Individual rooms are set up as vignettes of daily North Park life. It’s an extensive museum for such a small town. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The docent said the museum would be expanding soon.

Only open during summer...nice, relaxing tour. Patron friendly. Closed on wednesday,s ...we were with a tour group and attendants were vey informative about local history... All this is in the visitors guide we were offered at the conoco station. I will visit this museum again. There was no entry charge, but donations are helpful in keeping it cost fre to visitors.

They do not publish the fact that they are only open from May 30 through September 30. It's not even listed on the business hours posted on their front door. Some friendly locals informed us. These nice folks also suggested that if we call someone with the museum we might be able to arrange a tour anyway. We did just that and were informed that a tour could not be arranged. I'm recommending only based on the fact that it's a World Heritage Site and I can't submit a review without including a yes or no....
