Worth climbing up to the falls. Beautiful site! Would recommend yak tracks over snowshoessnowshoe for sure. $5 parking per vehicle. Very family friendly.

What a great setting and a good place to snowshoe. When we visited the falls for the most part were frozen, and the creek carved some interesting patterns through the snow covered boulders.

For most everyone, from easy to difficult trails, beautiful scenery and wildlife. A roaring mountain stream with giant boulders. A great place for the photographer in you.

There are 2 trails that are good in the winter for just a "stroll". There are also trails for use with snow shoes. Really pretty views. The falls were frozen and awesome.

We really enjoyed the small wildlife and fauna. The short stroll took us to well maintained comfortable viewing areas.

This is a wonderful National Park with beautiful hiking trails to the waterfalls and the then the long 5 mile hike to the lake. It is very cool to see a frozen waterfall. One day we had to get snow shoes from local rental store because there was a fresh 16" snow fall the night before. Awesome to walk the trails in snow shoes. Also recommend using the ski poles. Do not forget to pay the park fee and drop it in the box.

Lovely scenery, easy walk to scenic overlook and then more challenging trail down to the creek. Great photo spots in both places and several other trail options from this area. There are frequently naturalists at the parking area with exhibits and information.

Enjoy a pleasant hike through the woods to e great viewpoint across from the falls. The run-off was at it's peak so the river and falls were very fast and full. Make sure you hike down to the river

The Fish Creek has a magnificent view that stole my heart. We went there in month of February during the winter season, and the trails was totally covered by powdery snow but the creek water is still flowing. The sound of the falls is what we used to follow the trails! An awesome family trip!

We drove up here with our kids (middle school) and spent an hour or so walking the various trails. Others told us the trails are not always this clear, but this year is a low snow year. The waterfall was an amazing sight. I think you could walk in and out in 20 minutes or so, but we enjoyed both the view from the bottom and from the overlook. It took about an hour. Also, you need to have some money for parking.

We stopped by after an afternoon of horseback riding. We only had jeans and boots. Def need waterproof shoes/boots and pants (if visiting in winter). We are not avid hikers and the terrain was negotiable for us. We had a blast!!!

A short hike and you're at a lovely waterfall. We have taken our elderly family and they love it as well. A nice steep hike for those more adventurous is available.

We did a snowshoe tour / hike up to the uranium mine. The tour is offered on Fridays through the Yampatika organization. The tour is free. Snowshoes can be rented for $10. It's a moderately strenuous hike, but the views can't be beat. The tour guide, Linda, is extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to listen to. Well worth the trip. Will take about 3 hours.

We visited in the winter when there was snow on the ground. In the distance we could see the falls breaking through the green ice. It ran down to a couple of water pools then disappeared under the snow into a stream. We were standing on a cliff and although it was winter it was a nice day and we were sorry we hadn't brought along a lunch. It is a short, easy walk so if you have a few minutes to fill, this might just be the right thing for you.

What a great little hike. The winter scenery was absolutely awesome. I did not bring super great shoes so I kept to the upper and lower falls trail, stopping and just admiring the sound of the falls. Parking is pretty ample but it gets pretty crowded after 11am so I would HIGHLY recommend visiting before then if you prefer to hear nature and not chatty Kathys and barking dogs.
