What a great facility! I was there on a recent family trip and was thrilled to learn it was open to the public...and that there was one space open when I called to get into some doubles drills. I was one of three non-members playing that morning, and we were all welcomed into the group. The pros made the hour session fun and informative. The courts were nestled in the base of the mountain and provided an amazing backdrop. By FAR, the best $15 I spent on the entire trip.
Loved the group it was a large group of ladies all ages and two coaches they made 3 hours of tennis go really fast. Fruit and water on the courts how nice!
Our small group joined a tennis drill and round robin last week. The pros were very friendly as were the other ladies playing. Make a reservation in advance to get your spot. They have lots of other tennis activities too. Make a call, it was fun!
This is one of the best tennis centers open to the public in America! It's part of the Beaver Creek Club, but as a resort tennis center it is open to the public. Clinics, doubles play, Cardiotennis, fabulous private instruction. It's all there. Needless to say, it's tennis with one of the best views you could imagine as it's at the base of Beaver Creek ski terrain. There are also great children and teen programs. There are five har-tru courts and two hard courts. No lights, but who cares in summer when the sun stays up so late? Reese Babcock is the head pro. He and Dave Alonzo run the programs and are great, personable instructors (Dave teaches the kids and he's awesome with them). There is also a tennis pro shop selling basics like balls (do not bring your own unless they are high altitude balls) and socks, and nice choices of clothes for men, women and kids. Tennis racquets are available for rent. There is a ball machine for rent on one of the hard courts. I'm a local, so I play there all summer. I love it! Great way to meet new people. It's easy to park at the center or, if you're staying in the village you can walk to it or take the Dial-A-Ride shuttle bus.
Excellent preo. Friendly atmosphere. Both hard and clay courts. Lesson by the Pro was helpful and making connections through the Shuttle system also helpful. It wasn't the busy season so could not get a feel as to what happens at that time.
