they just went thru a management change here in the kitchen and frankly their "walking" breakfast burritos used to be lots better before and they just take too long to make..

Fitzsimmons GC is now a Aurora, Colorado civic course. Since before WWII it has served the local military members and their family for 60+ years, and now providing continuing pleasure for all golf enthusiast. The course is located on grounds of the old Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, which is now part of the University of Colorado Medical Campus (hospital and outpatient clinic center, as well as the Colorado Children's Hospital. Quite a medical complex. The club house is small with very limited facilities. There is a small food court just to the south of the course which is near and part of the University Hospital. The course is well maintained. Several of the fairways lay adjacent to city streets, but the fairways are wide enough to permit safe play. There are some trees and the back nice does have some challenging holes which makes it a round of golf very interesting. Being a retired military member and live in the city I play the course at lease 6 times a year. As this course sits on prime real estate, it has only a few more years of life, so if anyone wants to use this course, should do so in the next 2 years.

We used to play here frequently in the 80's-90's when it was a military course. In better shape now. Cost was low - $39.00 for two 9-hole green fees, cart & 2 sets of rental clubs. Club house and grill are in need of renovation - staff are very friendly.

This was a beautiful course. Mostly par 4 with a couple 5s and a few 3s. Course was in great condition. In summer, Denver is hot so take plenty of water with you and a hat and sunscreen. Would definitely play it again.

At first view, you might think Fitzsimmons is an outdated course that will eventually be retired. However, it deserves ink for a great bargain. Most of the course is doglegs and the fairways are narrower to average over a normal course and the greens are a tad bit smaller. Its excellent for walkers and offers great play if you like short shots or for those of you that like to let it fly, there are 5 excellent par 5's that require 3 solid shots. The Greens are well maintained and the staff does a good job of accommodating your needs. The club also offers some popular history having the "Ike" tree on the middle of the 6th Hole that Eisenhower made famous. It was designed by the army corps of engineers in 1938. Its not a country club course, but its a little tucked away Municipal course that will challenge good golfers. I have played this course over 30 times and want to make sure its many enjoyable parts are appreciated for those players that are learning to play golf. The driving range is real grass and they have 2 chipping greens and a separate putting greens. Its a full service golf center.

The course if fun and wide open. Cheap... like the other Aurora municipal courses. I recommend it for a quick fun outing.
