My fiance and I stayed here for a week in December as I had read good reviews and the price was on spot. We were very pleased with the quality of the condo, the space and the amenities provided at the club. Great place to relax after hitting the slopes. We couldn't have asked for better and definitely recommend. Would gladly return.
Beautiful views, so if you're not playing well at least you have a great view! LOVE playing on the clay....just remember the courts have to be 'swept' and you'll need new white sock.....there is no saving red clay court socks!
Location is good, close to bus stop to Vail. Price was also good, kitchen was very well equipped. Not very happy with house keeping and quality of beds. Heater was making the hair very dry. Humidifier were not helping much.
The clay courts here are fantastic. They also have several hard courts. All are well maintained. Have relaxing tables and chairs in the area. As well as a playground within sight, but not within sound!
I am a well-traveled individual. Visited 4 continents and stayed at dozens of hotels. This is the 1st time I've had something stolen from my room. My expensive Bluetooth Bose speaker, which I used in the morning, was gone when I returned after a day exploring Vail. I was told the only person who accessed my room was housekeeping. No other efforts were made to help me and I do not even recall any apologies for the loss. I absolutely do not recommend this place for that reason alone. Hospitality goes a long, long way for a traveler.
We had great expectations but in the end the room was substandard, a third floor walk-up on a narrow stairway, dingy, old, wooden structure, loud at night (it overlooked the interstate) and expensive (over $150.00/night). We had a sleepless night and left first thing in the morning. Would NOT be staying again, EVER.
We were on vacation with our family in Vail, and brought along our tennis racquets. We showed up at the Vail Racquet Club unannounced, and were able to get a court right away. It was $15 for an hour, and $20 for an hour and a half. This is somewhat less than the club where I play at home. The courts are Har-Tru clay, and I had never played on it before, so that was interesting. I didn't find any special difficulty playing on the surface. You are encouraged to brush the courts with brushes provided on each court after you finish playing, which took a few minutes. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had complimentary sunscreen if you forgot yours (which we had!). All in all, it was a great time spent in Vail on vacation.
We just returned from a two night stay at the Vail Raquet Club and we can say that we would like to go back. Why? The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful in the processes of making a reservation, handling requests, and checking us out. Also, the one bedroom unit that we stayed in was in a peaceful location by the flowing creek, it was cozy, and comfortable for us and our two children aged 10 and 14. We appreciated being able to cook in the very nice kitchen, and the fact that there were one and a half bathrooms. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the unit. It was a little farther from Vail village than what we thought, about three miles, but we had our car and we heard that the free Vail bus stops out front somewhere, too.We received a special Spring price which was great considering it was bigger than a hotel room and had a fully supplied kitchen. It was also at the end of May, beginning of June so it was not too noisy or crowded at the hot tub or pool. We advise anyone who stays here, though, to take your own soap as the ones they leave for you crumble when you open the package. Also, if you enjoy coffee in the mornings, you should take your own, although they do have some in the lobby in any case. Additionally, they skipped over our unit for housekeeping one day, but we called them in the late afternoon and were able to get fresh towels, and more paper towels for the kitchen.
Stayed in an updated 2 bedroom condo - great layout, had everything I would have asked for and more! Nice gym facility, close to mtn with shuttle service within 2 minutes walking from the unit. Stayed with 3 friends and had a great experience - we will definitely stay here again!
Best place to stay in Vail. Like being at home, all the comforts are there full kitchens, Tv and internet. Ski hard all day come home and relax in the hot tub or swim. You can cook or eat at the new Blu restaurant at the Club house..
Great for families, bus is right outside. The pool is beautiful as is the hot tub. View is outstanding from hot tub and pool. Condos in very good shape. Will visit for the third time this February.
The Racquet Club in East Vail is an excellent alternative to more expensive places in the village. There is a terrific health club with huge outdoor pool, ten tennis courts for your summertime pleasure, easy walking and biking nearby, and the soothing sound of Gore Creek running just outside your bedroom door. One bit of advice, however - ask what level of unit you can get. The units range from Platinum (all the bells and whistles) to Bronze (some 70's vintage decor) and the price is the same for all of them. The experience can be very different, depending on what level of unit you get!
we had 3 bedroom condo and it was perfect. No negatives, just great. We even had a barbeque in addition to full kitchen. Unlimided supply of firefood for awesome fireplace. 3 levels were clean all the time. Amenities as equally great.
Don't let this pass you by. Great clean outdoor hot tub that looks up to mountain wall right across the street. Great out door lap pool kept at appropriate temp year around. Access includes free classes. Tuesday 6:30pm evening yoga is great. Weight and machine room available along with outdoor tennis. In and out all day access with daily pass. On local free bus line or plenty of free parking.
We have stayed here 8-10 times over the past 15 years. Made reservations for last week and had to cancel due to family situation. Called front desk and was told non-refundable. Talked to a manager and he was kind enough to refund most of the up front fee paid. I will be back again just because of that. Good service results in referrals. I have referred many families to this club, just did it today for somebody coming next week for 4 days. Just call front desk and inquire about certain rentals that suit your needs. I suggest creek side.
